We made two separate purchases from Matter Brothers, one in November (Guest Room set and family room sofa & Love seat) and then again in January (family room end/coffee tables and trundle bed). We were looking far a fair price on reasonable quality furniture for our newly remodeled house here in Florida. All items except the headboard were available within a week and the headboard was delivered about 4 weeks after the rest of the guest room stuff. Tina, our sales person was friendly and helpful at picking to our needs, deliveries were professional and went without any hitches. Matter Brothers has a nice varied selection and we found many interesting pieces that fit our Florida style needs.

She told me-even before asking my budget-- that they were really busy this time of year and pretty much left it at that. Through my questions about pieces in the showroom I was asking how to pick a style because I liked so many pieces and she kept saying things like how she was tired of working so many hours, missed her kids, and that she wasn't sure she could help me because I liked so many styles. I almost laughed. I have never met a more unmotivated sales person in my life. I tried to call her the next day and order a custom dining set and she said she would call me back, no call. I waited a few weeks and went in again, hoping to meet somebody else. This other associate was on the floor for three weeks and very socially awkward to boot. I gave up after trying to order furniture when the manager at the store asked me to move because I was blocking other customers who might want to look at color samples: I was preparing to order pieces out of a catalog along with multiple leather sofas, while sitting at a table for customers. Despite the competitive pricing and distance to my house, I just can't do it ever again...it's almost laughable how rude they are. I started worrying what would happen if the furniture had a problem. It's too hard to even buy things here. There is no doubt Matter brothers treat their employees poorly based on how they treat their customers.

They delivered the wrong mattress for my sleeper sofa 2X even though it was ordered correctly. I believe the problem was in the warehouse. It was a long wait to get it right.
