Jim Johnson Quality Tile & Wood LLC

We decided that we wanted glass block walls around our new shower to allow for more light in the shower and for the way it would look. Our floor tile installer had no expertise in this and we went looking for someone who did. We got a reference from another contractor and contacted Jim. We worked with Jim, in the space in the bathroom to lay out a plan for the block walls. We then discussed the logistics of how the work would get done in coordination with all of the other remodeling going on in this space (walls to be built, concrete to be cut to allow a roll-in shower, etc.). We came up with a plan and moved forward. A couple of days before the concrete was to be cut, Jim and his assistant came out to help us lay out the wall on the floor so that the concrete cut would be in the proper place to allow the wall to run along the seam between the floor tile and shower floor tile. Jim was very helpful in getting this right. Then the concrete cutters cut in a slightly different place. Jim came back and luckily we could get the wall to align properly by inserting a half-block into one of the rows. Jim and his assistant then built the walls over a few days, often in the evening after the other workers had left. The resulting product is very nice. Part of the beauty is some colored block that we purchased on-line to accent the walls. We are very happy with the final product.
