Custom Couture specializes in custom sewing of ALL KINDS in our state-of-the-art studio in downtown Tarpon Springs, Florida. We also offer personal sewing instruction for beginners through advanced sewers. Private sewing lessons cover patterning, construction and couture techniques as well as quilting and home decorating. We are a team of professional seamstresses specializing in all manner of specialty sewing needs to the public. Whether it's just a few alterations or a custom made addition to your wardrobe, sturdy new slipcovers for your furniture or updating the windows in your home, call on us. We can consult with you to conceive, design and construct your special garment or project. Our expertise also extends to design assistance and product development for the garment and sewn goods industries. "Alterations are very often more than the price of a dress on sale. We are fair and competitve with our pricing and did give an estimate in advance to which this customer agreed. There was not enough fabric left from the hem cuttings to make the kind of sash that this customer was expecting so a suggestion was made to cover the existing belt with the left over strip of fabric at no additional extra charge since a sash cost was included in the original estimate. The belt was completed within two days as promised. The belt has yet to be picked up."

She measured my every dimension, made a few marks, and told me my stuff would probably be ready in a few days but please give her a week. I went back a week later, tried everything on, and everything fit perfectly -- much better than it had fit when I bought it by size off the rack. It was like I had a new, custom-tailored wardrobe!
Last week was my first visit to her new location; she altered a few garments for me and repaired a seam, and her work was as perfect as ever.
She also designs and makes beautiful clothes "whole cloth" (pun intended).
