The final result looks terrible.  There's a half inch gap between the countertops and backsplash, one countertop was cut too short and it is now shorter than the cabinet it sits on.  The backsplash does not stick to the walls and while cutting out the opening for the light switches and outlets, he left deep scratches in it that are quite visible.  Lastly, 3 of the 4 end pieces have come loose and .  He didn't remove the old caulking around the edges before he applied the new caulking which is a different color.  Overall, the job looks very bad and I'm paying someone to re-do it.   
I've sent 3 emails to ask Eddie to call me to discuss my concerns.  He finally replied with a nasty email and ask me to stop notifying him because he's on vacation for 4 weeks (note - he originally told me 10 days).  He indicated in his email that laminate is not intended for usage for a backsplash and that's the reason it's not sticking.  As for the countertop that is cut too short - he stated that someone must have bumped it and knocked it loose, which clearly makes no sense.  I don't expect to hear from him and even if I did, I would be very nervous about him doing more damage than he already has.
I do not recommend him nor will I use any of his services in the future.  His professionalism falls well short of what I would expect.
