WELD-RITE HITCH CO

TERRIBLE, terrible, terrible customer service. I live 45 minutes away, but was at a nearby store, so I stopped in. I told them what I needed, which was a latch welded on the ramp of my lawn trailer, so the ramp could be locked in the up position, making it much more difficult for mowers to be stolen off the lawn trailer.. They said they could do that the same day, and to go get my lawn trailer. So I drove 45 minutes back home, hooked up my lawn trailer, then drove in heavy traffic 45 minutes back to Weldrite. When I get there they say, "Oh, you will have to leave your trailer with us and pick it up another day." **** NO I'm not going to leave a fully loaded lawn trailer with you. And, how am I supposed to get my lawn equipment and mowers home, if I have to leave my lawn trailer with you? So I had to needlessly drive a fully loaded lawn trailer another 45 minutes back home in heavy traffic. Needless to say, due to their terrible customer service and poor communication skills, they lost another customer. I originally bought the lawn trailer, and other misc trailer parts, and hitches, from them. I will be purchasing more lawn trailers, and parts, soon. BUT NOT FROM THEM!! This company deserves ZERO STARS !

They put the hitch on all right, the price was reasonable, and they were prompt, BUT...They removed a plastic panel from the bottom of the car which should have been modified for the hitch and reinstalled. They did not do this. They put the panel and all the fasteners into the back of the van and never mentioned it. I found the panel that afternoon when I got home and said "What the heck?" They were closed so on Monday morning I called and was told by Chris the partner that they always leave it off because leasee's want to be able to put the car back the was it was when leased. I said the van is not leased and that i want the shield put back on. He said he would have to charge me to do so. I said you should have asked if the car was a lease so I could ask for it to be replaced. Now the hitch has to come off again to do the job. Yes I am PO'd and will have to do the work myself. Very sloppy and unprofessional in my book.
