One engine block had lots debris and original gasket material still attached. It required me to clean it. The new set of cam bearings had deep scratches. I brought the block back to the shop and the owner argued with me and said they were good. The mechanic looked at them and agreed with me that they were damaged and he replaced them. One of the new heads he sold me had a damaged stud hole, it appeared to have been previously over torqued and was raised up which would have caused a leak when installed. I brought the head back to the shop and the owner offered to install a helicoil. That was unacceptable and I told him I wanted a new head.
After the third trip back to the shop due to poor work and defective material I decided to take both engines to another engine shop. They confirmed the poor work that was done at United Speed World. Among other things the new shop rebuilt both sets of heads and installed new cam shafts. I had the new shop correct all deficiencies which cost me another $2000.Licensing
