What happened during and after the oil change is the upsetting part. Stephen, the guy in the office. started to explain the way she could get the store credit card. Then he left and came back witha list of and quot;reccomended sevice itemsand quot; All to the tune of $2244.70!
He explained in particulat that her master cylinder was leaking and could fall apart at anytime and would be very dangerous. He had her scared to death.
She was leaving and he was still encouraging her to apply for the credit card!
I called and asked how a routine oil change could turn into a quoted for over $2000.00? He told me it was just all routine items. She certainly did not get the impression it was at all optional but very urgent and was upset.
We later took the car to our usual garage (not opened on Sundays) and found there were no major issues and no leaky cylinder.
