Our 24 year old electric water heater started giving nothing but cold showers and that wasn't going to cut it. We checked Angies list like we always do and found that the top rated pulmbers for the job we wanted done were "The Clean Plumbers - Phillip Maurici" so that's who we went with. They did the job in no time flat on the day we called them. Jorge and Adam proved to be exellent at what they do, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them anytime.

Called and was refused to be given any quote on the phone even for an "easy" job of swapping out an old dish disposal for a new one. This despite saying they provide up-front pricing on Angies List. I understand if on site things can change depending on conditions but that is shady and charging $39 just to come out for the quote, no thanks. Next

"Our company policy is to look at the job before we give the price, this is to keep from under pricing or over pricing. The people who answer the phones are not plumbers, and what someone thinks is an "easy" job rarely turns out to be. Yes we have a $39 service charge to send out a plumber to your home to inspect and diagnosis the problem. These are employees, not sub contractors, they are paid by the hour not by the job, we provide our employees with a work truck, uniforms, tools, health insurance, benefits and continuous training, these are the costs of running a successful business. This person has the right to pick who they want to come out, just like they can decide to go to a fast food restaurant, a sit down restaurant or a high end restaurant, they all serve a hamburger, but what quality and experience are you looking for. You can shop at Walmart or Macy's you make the choice on the quality product you want, but do you give Macy's a bad review because you choose not to shop there? This is a very unfair review, we did no work for this customer, they just didn't like our policy and [Member Information Removed] of doing business."

Based on Angie's List reviews, I contacted The Clean Plumbers and scheduled a service call. The plumber showed up as scheduled and even called to let us know he was enroute. He diagnosed the problem and replaced both the upper and lower thermostats. He also noticed that the water heater circuit breaker was functioning intermittently and replaced it. He completed the work neatly and professionally, and the water heater was restored to full function.

The best experience I've ever had with a plumbing service here in Tampa or elsewhere. I can see why this company is on Angie's List. Their technician, Erich, was outstanding both in professionalism and responsiveness to my plumbing problem. He went to work immediately and fixed the problem and then worked on the faucet leak in my tub. The quality of his work was superb. When I need plumbing service in the future, I will definitely call this company and ask for Erich. Their answering service is excellent as well. Both women I spoke with were pleasant, and very helpful. True to their words, they sent a Technician out to my residence in little more than an hour. Now that's fast!

I called at 8am for non-emergency replacement of hot water heater. Tony arrived at 10:30am with a selection of tanks in the truck, and job was completed and old tank hauled away. And I now know how to drain the tank periodically, for better performance. Tony was competent and professional and helpful. I will call this company for future plumbing needs.

I tried to fix it myself. It should be easy, there's a YouTube video and I had tools and parts. Delta has made this faucet for 40 years! However, due to Tampa's hard water, the thing refused to come apart. I decided that I could make a small problem into a big problem and so I called Maurici Plumbers. I picked them because they had 2000 "A's" on Angies list. I told them it was a very old house and nothing is easy. The service representative called when he was on his way and he was so professional, he explained what he would do and why. Why he used Delta Parts rather than my aftermarket parts. Let's be honest, Maurici is expensive. However, my guy was so good, articulate, and knowledgable, that I'm going to get my bathroom drip done soon, and I'll ask for the same tech, even if I have to wait. I never was afraid he was going to break something and make it worse.

Lal, the technician, explained what he would recommend to do with hiding the pipe in order to avoid any future leaks. Pipe was above ground and now below where it is not an eyesore and narrower in size. It appears that he did a thorough job and I hope that this is fixed to last a long time. Lal was very courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend him again and the rate compared to other companies was very reasonable.

The experience I had with this company was great. While downstairs, I noticed a wetspot on my ceiling and when I went to check the upstairs bathroom, I found that the tank was leaking and unable to determine why. I called this company, the lady who picked up was friendly and gave me a window of when a plumber would be by. I called her back once I had something pop up for the afternoon and she was able to send someone immediately. The man who showed up was courteous and professional. He explained to me what may be wrong but wouldn't know for sure until either the gasket was replaced, the screw tightened, or a new washer put in place (inside the tanks). I didn't want to pay the $284 it would cost to replace the gasket and washers, so he took it step by step to see if each of the steps would solve the problem, potentially saving me money. He tightened the screw, didn't fix it. He changed the washer inside the tank - turned out that screw was rusted and had broken, allowing water to seep from the tank. He fixed for $39 and made sure the tank wasn't leaking before leaving. Id recommend them to anyone and hire them again.
