The only company in Tampa specializing in wood floor refinishing and restoration using 99.8% dustless equipment and top-end products. Tampa Hardwood Floor Refinishing is owned and run by Derek Bowles, a Bona Certified Craftsman with over 25 years' experience in restoring wood flooring. Wood dust is a known carcinogen, so we utilize the very best Bona Atomic Dust Containment System available to provide you with the most dust-free, true wood floor refinishing services possible. We do not put wax down on hardwood floors to make them look better temporarily. That creates problems like discoloration and scratch marks later on. We never use sub-contractors either - everyone who works for us is an employee. Furthermore, Mr. Bowles is a true artisan. If you're looking for a custom color for your hardwood floors, he can provide it using National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) accepted wood floor refinishing techniques and upscale products specifically designed for wood flooring (not paint and retail products).
Top-End hardwood floor refinishing including 99.8% dust-free sanding, and market leading finish products; solid and engineered hardwood floor installation, professional hardwood floor cleaning, repair work, staining, stripping and restoration.

"We're sincerely surprised to see a negative review from you, [Member Name Removed]. I thought we had ended everything on a good note. You've paid us in full for our work done at your condo and we've provided you with a list of the products we used to refinish the floor, per your request. We also returned your parking pass even though you still hadn't paid us in full for the work we did a month after finishing it. We performed all the services stated on the contract and only ran into an issue when you breached the written agreement by withholding funds from what we were legally due. You never gave us the opportunity to fix or address the paint issues you complained about. Our Work Order Contract does clearly state that touch-up painting may be desired after we complete a job, and that paint work is the responsibility of the property owner since we are not professional painters. You signed our Work Order Contract and agreed to the terms stated within it. Once a contract is signed, the parties involved cannot renegotiate the terms. You attempted to change the terms. You say you own or run a business, but if that's true, you're unaware of how contracts legally work here in the State of Florida. I merely tried to inform you of the law and proceed with providing everything our company needed to do to uphold our end of the contract. Now you're trying to hurt us after we've been responsive, honest, professional and reputable?"
"Unfortunately, this customer is mistaken and complaining about issues in her 100 year old wood floor TWO YEARS AFTER we did refinishing work to it. There's no company out there who will guarantee wood floor work after such a long period of time because wood flooring is a natural product that can deteriorate over time. When we originally went out to look at this particular floor, it had been seriously neglected. No company can turn back time and erase decades of wear & tear and damage. If they wanted the floor to look new, we advised them to replace the old flooring with new wood flooring. We made their 100 year old flooring look terrific again. Secondly, they refused to allow the industry approved (NWFA) amount of acclimation time (minimum 2 weeks) before we installed the repair wood pieces. I don't know what more we - or anyone else - can do. We offered touch-up services (like woodfill), but this customer refused. Their complaints and review are unfair. We've been in business in Tampa for almost 10 years now and complete hundreds of jobs each year."
