Suncoast Glass, Door and Mirror

Please be sure to do several searches on this company. I wish I had done that before I hired John Garcia, the owner of Suncoast Glass. He overcharged ($325 for less than 45 minutes of work) for attempting to repair a window that was leaking. I contacted him 3 weeks after the "fix" because the window was still leaking. At first he said he was out of town for several days. After waiting for him to arrive back home, I texted him several times about scheduling a day to come back out. After no response, I called him. I think he answered the phone by mistake, but he said he'd come out 3 days later, mid-day. Well that never happened. Now he won't answer my calls and I can't leave a voicemail because his mailbox is full. After doing more research, I found out other customers have had the same issue. Oh, and he does not accept credit cards, only cash and checks. Hmmm, wonder why? After first thinking he was very personable, I have come to realize that he's dishonest, lazy and incompetent.

Did great work. Personable guy, showed up on time. Quality service. Would recommend.

I called this company to have my leaky window fixed. John answered on my first call and got here very quickly. He seemed knowledgeable and seem to know what the problem was at first look. He gave me a quote and promised a 1 year guarantee. I agreed with his quote of $225. He finished within 2 hours which included him buying parts from a nearby Lowes. I wanted to use a credit card to pay him but he said that he did not have his card payment gadgets with him so I issued a check. Then he said he could not give me an invoice or receipt because he does not have it with him too. I thought that was odd because he told me over the phone that he was coming from a job he was doing in Spring Hill. I issued the check since I have duplicates anyway. Then he promised he will email it to me but it did not come. Some rain fell after a few days and there was still a leak. So, I called him to let him know and also to remind him that I did not get any emails from him. He said he will email it but did not. A hard rain came last week and my window leaked so bad like no work was done. I called him 2X and left a message and he did not return any of them. It's been a week now since my last call and 1 month since he first worked on it. I looked at his work and all he did was caulk the seams from my window where water may intrude. I did this myself long time ago and he even saw it. I could have done it again for less than $10. But, I trusted his knowledge and guarantee. Yes, he was fast to take my money just like the other reviewer and run away with it.
