Boats
To start off the survey he showed up almost an hour late. He said he would have the survey back to me in three days, it took six. There several discrepancies on the survey such as misspelling my name, the name of the boat was wrong, several pieces of equipment were not listed. The biggest problem was that he listed two safety related items as deficiencies and that they were required by regulation. The items he listed were 1) A single blower for a twin engine boat and 2) No annual inspections for fire extinguishers. Neither one is required by either State or Federal regulations. I contacted the U.S Coast Guard and they verified there was no requirement for two blowers. I have tried to contact the surveyer both by phone and e-mail to correct the deficiencies. He has not responded.
