Servpro of South Tampa

Should have been a simple job. Workmanship was terrible. First drywall application was a lumpy mess. Had to argue with them to get it redone properly. Very messy crew. Not satisfied at all with Servpro of South Tampa. Would NOT use again. Half the time they didn't show up when they said they would. Had different workers each time. No cleanup. Had to do it myself. Would not recommend.

The water main was broken in the follow about our condo. Around a dozen condos were overwhelmed with water damage. The firm initially hired for dryout by the association performed poorly. We hired SERVPRO of SouthTampa to complete the dryout and conduct mold remediation services. Responsive. Professional. The services are expensive but only a professional firm like this one can truly rid your property of mold and excessive moisture. SERVPRO also provided extensive demo or walls, tile and cabinetry that were ruined. Clean. Dependable. Professional. If you have a disaster, this is the company to call.

The washing machine in the condo upstairs overflowed late Sunday night, July 1, and some water got into my condo.  Luckily I was home and able to mop most of the water up, but the carpet and walls were definitely wet, so professional help was needed.  Servpro was recommended by two different people, so I called Servpro of South Tampa on Monday, July 2.  Brian Schweitzer, the owner, arrived promptly and used several types of meters to take readings of the walls, floors, and ceilings.  Water stains were visible on the walls, and Brian confirmed that there was still water and moisture in the walls and under the carpets, but no water under the wood flooring.  He installed a high power fan and dehumidifier in each of the 3 rooms affected, and said that the job would take three days.  He returned each day, including the Fourth of July, to take readings to confirm that the walls and floor were drying appropriately.  Brian and an assistant removed the equipment on the third day after verifying that all the moisture had been removed.  Brian and his staff were professional and took care not to damage any of my belongings.  He also suggested that I give extra water to the plants in the affected rooms because the equipment caused the rooms to reach 95 degrees; I believe that this saved those 5 plants from severe dehydration.  I was fortunate because the walls dried completely so that I could paint over the stains without needing to replace drywall.  The carpet and padding did not need to be replaced, either.  Now that I've repainted, you would never know that there had been water cascading down the walls just a few days ago!  The final price was actually a little less than the $1500 estimate.  I would definitely call Servpro again (although I hope I never have to).
