We moved into a beachfront condo that had not been redecorated since it was built on the 1980's. We opened up walls, took off popcorn ceilings and turned it into a contemporary condo.
Roma was instrumental in helping to pick out just the right finishing touches; from finding the perfect area rug, to the fabulous headboard for our master bedroom. She listens to what you are trying to accomplish and is excellent in taking the project from concept to reality. I have used her for two different projects and her input has been invaluable.

It did not go well. Her demolition guy was excellent but everybody else including her were not. After our 3rd meeting when I asked for a design concept on paper and her demolition guy had already started, she stated that doing a concept on paper would cost too much for my budget. I went to Home Depot and got one done for $50. After getting the concept, her electrician came in and did a lot of work leaving behind holes all over my town house. In the process, he caused damage to my entire upstairs electrical work and would not accept responsibility for his screwup. I had to have a lighting guy and a 2nd electrician come in to fix the mess. She charged $75 for every phone call and rather than calling me, she kept sending emails when she knew I did not have access to the internet. I was incredibly disappointed with her work.

"Over the last 15 years of being in business I've worked very hard to achieve high ratings in customer service to which my clients can attest. Miss [member name removed]'s file is well documented from the time frame of 11/12/13 to 12/12/13. I was hired based on the research & pictures Miss [member name removed] saw of my work on the internet. She signed her design contract on the day I was hired for her initial consult where we discussed her wants, needs, & budget to achieve them. Her wants were many and her budget very small. This was her very first home purchase. I made 3 additional on-site visits that month and each visit Miss [member name removed] had a different plan of action, making it difficult & confusing for controlling budget items. Romarooms design services charge by the hour as needed. I do not charge $75 for a phone call. Compiling the estimates for kitchen demo, removal of popcorn ceilings, painting thru-out, burying cables, adding electrical wiring & outlets, landscaping, & pest control were among the services requested & quoted. The labor quotes for this amount of work were well over budget. I truly believe Miss [member name removed]'s expectations were unrealistic & unreasonable for what she could afford in a renovation of that magnitude. She did seek advice from Home Depot, as stated, for a kitchen layout weeks after the layout had been discussed, planned and demolition started. Miss [member name removed] did have & use email as she worked nights and could only meet at a specific time of day. Phone calls were returned & used to expedite vendor entrances to property. Romarooms had 5 professional vendors working with this job when the client called & asked me to inform them that any further work was cancelled due to a financial strain & loss. She eventually paid her one invoice and returned barrowed equipment within 60-90 days. Hopefully, when her financial situation straightened out, Home Depot could assist her in finishing her remodel.
