Rick was very responsive.  He returned phone calls within a few hours, showed up when he said he would (and sometimes earlier, but called first), and was very professional.  This job was very challenging.  The type of bricks were not readily available and were difficult to match.  He was able to use most of the original bricks (which he had to "clean up" by removing the old mortar) and then altered the new bricks to match perfectly!  He is very meticulous and the result was fantastic!

Rick and Randy built a landscape divider for us last October and we've been pleased with the way it has stopped soil erosion.  We asked them to return and extend the divider another 9 feet.  As always, they arrived on schedule, dug & poured the footer.  The following morning they were back to lay the block and clean up.  They knew what we wanted and exactly what they were doing.  I really didn't even need to be home!  Excellent results once again.

The houses to the east of ours are at a higher elevation and we needed a landscape divider to stop the water-run off and soil erosion onto our property.  Whenever we need any type of masonry work we always call Rick. 

On the first day Rick & Randy dug a trench for the footer (lots of roots!), set up the rebar, poured the cement and were back the next morning to lay block.  All three courses of block were up the 2nd day.  The 3rd morning they tied in more rebar, filled the top blocks and cleaned up.  They've been doing masonry for a long time and the 2 of them operate like a well-oiled machine.  The wall is solid and flawless.

Rick can always be counted on to do the job right.  He knows what he's doing, has an excellent work ethic, gives a good price and they are always on time.  If there's a problem on the job, Rick's got a solution from his years of experience.  He is prompt about giving estimates and will schedule the job as soon as he can.  I wish we knew a contractor in every trade like Rick.

I attempted to tackle a summer hard scape project. After the non-stop rain and heat I lost motivation and decided to hire someone so of course I turned to my girl Angie who never lets me down and she came through again. After calling several companies they all told me that my project was to small and didn't even bother coming out for an estimate and the ones that did quoted me outrageous prices since it was a small project. After reading RMT masonry reviews I decided to give them a call. I spoke with Rick who came out quickly and provided me with an estimate I was comfortable with. I already purchased a majority of the materials since I tried to do it myself which was an epic fail, so I turned to Rick and his brother Randy to finish the job. I wanted my patio and retaining wall to be even with my pool deck, so there was a little bit more time and skill needed for the project. The patio was a little bigger than 10x10 and the retaining wall was 60ft, curved, and stacked 5 high in some places. Also the pavers and blocks were dropped off in my driveway and its a haul to my back yard. Rick and his brother Randy nailed the project and my wife and I couldn't be happier. The project took about 3 days with the rain and each day the brothers were on time, worked extremely hard, and were extremely respectful/professional to my wife and I. Rick kept me up to speed the entire time and was straight forward with everything. They kept the work area clean and it was spotless when they left. I have used Angie's List several times for house projects and each time she has never let me down, but Rick and Randy were by far the best. If you are looking to have any type of masonry work done save yourself the hassle/stress and hire Rick and Randy, you will not be disappointed. Rick and his brother did an awesome job! Very responsive and constant updates so I knew exactly what was going on and when each stage was completed. The steps look great and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely use them in the future for any masonry needs.

Rick and his brother Randy were excellent.  I had previous quotes from other companies that made it clear they didn't want the work (likely because it was too small of a job).  The cost estimate from others was well in excess of twice what RMT Masonry charged for the work.
I called and in a few days they arrived in the AM.  They arrived when they said they would and did what they said they would.  Two things stick out.  Rick was available a few days prior to talk through what he thought we should do, which was a bit different than what I thought was the best plan.  His approach was indeed the right way to go about it.  Secondly, the concrete section that was replaced was six inches thick, when normally it is 4 inches think.  This meant they had to use more concrete than anticipated.  He stuck to his price regardless of the increase in concrete needed.  In fact he didn't even mention anything about it other than to tell me he needed to get a bit more of it.
They used caution tape to mark off the area for setting and safety reasons as well.
I would recommend them to anyone.  Excellent work and value for the size of the project.

RMT came out the next day to estimate the job.  Job was completed the next morning.  A large root had caused the damage.  RMT cut out the root and replaced the broken section.  Finished concrete looks great!!!!!

Rick is an extremely talented mason. We are very satisfied with the work Rick and Randy did on our house in New Tampa. Rick gave us a reasonable estimate, recommended the brick we should use, gave us options regarding styles , etc. We accidently ordered the wrong type of brick - Rick worked with the brick supplier to pickup/return/refund the old brick and deliver the correct brick to us. Rick and Randy show up when promised. They are very punctual which is a big deal to me. Rick kept me informed daily on the progress of the job. They cleaned up after themselves nightly. Nothing but highest praise for Rick and Randy. I would absolutely recommend them to my neighbors.

Rick responded to my phone call immediately.  He came to our house to look at the job & understand what we needed.  He set up an appointment to return and do the work.  As always, Rick & Randy were on-time, prepared for the job and went right to work.  My laundry room is very tiny which didn't make it easy but they got the new vent installed.  They patched the old hole and blended it in with the interior & exterior walls.  Everything turned out perfectly.  I never have to worry about things being crooked or unlevel with Rick & Randy.

The price was good and the job was good.

Storms interrupted their work several times, but they kept at it. My new walkway is beautiful. Rick is a pleasure to work with.

Rick and his helper were on time, very neat and clean and nice. Left no mess. Did amazing work.  You would never know that there were any holes in the walls, they turned out perfect.  We were also amazed at how quick they were.  We had a small wall problem on the inside, I asked if they would leave some cement behind and Rick fixed it right up for me.  My husband is a perfectionist and he could not find anything wrong with there work. Yes we would have them work for us again

Rick and Randy did an excellent job at a fair price.  They were punctual and professional.  Their workmanship was excellent and they were very accommodating in making some changes in the project as they worked.  They cleaned up the area before they departed.  We are very pleased with the result and would hire them again.

Rick and his brother exceeded our expectations with this project. It is not often that a project turns out better than expected, but it did in this case. We love the look and design of the Georgia Brick steps and buttresses that they put in. This 2 man team showed up on time every day and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with every detail of the project. Their hard work and professionalism was much appreciated. We highly recommend them!

The job was professionally done and the contractor's honesty was so important. He told me that the entire chimney was not in need of mortar, unlike the previous contractor I had asked. He found a solution to prevent future water seeping into the mortar on the sides of the chimney due to it's design. Prompt and courteous and did the job himself with a helper. Great price, as the job required a scaffolding to be erected. I am very happy with the work.

The whole experience from inital estimate to completed job ran very smoothly. Rick returned my initial call quickly and set up a time to come over and see what needed to be done. He arrived on time and gave what I thought was a fair price for the job. I needed to place threaded anchors in the concrete before it set in a very specific location in order to anchor the posts of the lift to the floor once the concrete set. Rick worked with met to come up with a good solution on how to tie the new concrete sections into the existing slab and also how to set the anchors properly. I scheduled the job, he again arrived on time, we followed the plan and everything worked out nicely.

I contacted Rick about covering the end wall in our kitchen with Thin Brik. He came by, gave me an estimate and told me how much brick I would need to buy. He also gave me excellent advice on which type of veneer (reclaimed, clay or cement) would look best. After I had the brick I called Rick and he put us on their schedule. (They are always very punctual. If he says 8am, he means it.)

Rick and his brother, Randy, worked nonstop for 2 full days. They have a system down pat and managed to work in my narrow galley kitchen. We collected and cut open cardboard boxes which they laid over the granite and floor tiles in case a brick or tool dropped. (There were no accidents.) Rick put the brick up with mortar, one brick at a time, so it looks exactly like a vintage, exposed brick wall. Randy cut everything to precision, kept a constant supply of mortar mixed and put the finishing touches on the joints. Rick planned the layout to keep everything level and the mortar joints at a consistent width. He suggested a row of "soldier" brick under the window sill and the detail really adds to the overall look.

In 2 days the kitchen was transformed. The brick work looks incredible; like it's always been there. The first morning after the wall was finished we turned our chairs around and ate breakfast admiring the wall. It's just so amazing we couldn't stop looking at it. This is the 5th masonry project Rick has done at our house and they've all been flawless. However, I think the Thin Brik wall in the kitchen deserves a standing ovation. It's that good.

When I selected the brick I knew I would be painting it so I just picked a light color. The wall looked so great I really, really hated to paint it. However, our granite is a very busy pattern and difficult to match to other colors. After I primed the wall I realized I could paint it ANY color and it would still look great. This is exactly the focal point the kitchen needed.
