OMG So very bad! So painful to deal with this company. It seems to me they fail in every aspect. From three years and still not finished to having to loan them tools and redo their work myself because the quality of workmanship has been so bad. Now, I, not them, found the pool filter is not connected to the bottom of the pool so the big built in pool cleaning system they charged me for just pushes the dirt and leaves around. I could go on for pages with more but let me say the important thing. RIVIERA POOLS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE FOR ME!!!

I am a real estate agent in the Clearwater area and have used Riviera Pools and David Delafield for 3 different clients of mine for new pool installation. All 3 clients and myself were so extremely happy with the process and the final product. My clients reached out to me to thank me for putting them in touch with David so I wanted to pass along to all. David was very responsive, professional and very knowledgeable about the entire "new pool installation" process. His design work is fantastic and actually uses a 3-D design software so you know exactly what you're getting. Thank you David and Riviera Pools, I will be reaching out to you for all my future pool needs.

We signed our contract 11/2020, permits were approved 1/2021, and they broke ground 3/2021. We still have a concrete pit full of dirt, stagnant water and trash. The project manager isn't on site when sub-contractors come, so there's no quality control. When mistakes are made it seems to take a minimum of 3 months before its corrected and the next mistake is made. The guys who sprayed the gunite had a blowout of their pipe and sprayed gunite on our neighbors truck. They didn't tell our neighbor and weren't going to clean it up until they were forced to by our neighbor. They also blew gunite onto our air conditioning units and the walls of our house. Plumbers dug up pits around our yard and dropped off pipes this summer, but then walked off and never did anything. Riviera had no idea and thought that job was done. Meanwhile our yard eroded in the rains, exposing the foundation and undermining the pad our air conditioner was sitting on. Electricians came out 3 times before they were actually able to do work. They had been told there was equipment to hook up, but there never had been. When the equipment arrived it was incorrect and the electricians couldn't complete the job. When you contact Riviera Pools by email you get back canned messages in bold and ALL CAPS and highlighted not to contact them, it will only slow them down if they have to respond to complaints. I know that they CAN complete a pool, because our neighbor (whose pool was started at the same time as ours) has been enjoying their pool for the past 4 months. I'll have to ask what lawyer they hired to force the job to get done. Do yourself a favor and go with a different pool company. Their salesperson did a great job selling us on them, but I wish we had gone with anyone else except Riviera Pools.

Where do I start? A contact was signed in Sept.2020, and was told it would be done for spring break 2021. The permit was approved at the end of November but no work was even started until end of January, and that was just laying out the forms. The actual construction started mid Feb.2021. We have since been told it may be July before it’s complete. This company is horrible at communicating, and even said that “ the more we contact them the longer our project takes”. Phone calls go unreturned, emails go unreturned and the only time you hear from them is when they want more money. We have paid over half the cost of our pool and all we have is a concrete hole in our yard with dirt piles, plastic, and trash all around it. We are currently sitting at 3 weeks with no one showing up to do anything. Excuses have been made evey step of the way, and all blame has been made due to Covid. Yet this company continues to sign new contracts and say pools will be built. If Covid is truly causing delays wouldn’t you finish the jobs you had before you took on anything else? I would never recommend this company to anyone. If you have already signed and are stuck in a contract like us good luck!

It took a month before they even submit my permit to the county. Three months later after the signage of contract nothing has been done on my home. My permit has been approved and I asked to speak with manager. No one returned my call. I called almost every week. Until, I decided to cancel contract. They charged me $3,385.05 and now they answer the phone. They claim I never called, and I never showed up, but I have proof. A large and long-term investment like this you need a credible company. Even though they get to keep my money, because it is in the contract. They pushed me to cancel the contract by taking advantage of me. This company gave me the run around and is very unethical and deceitful.

I signed a contract with Riviera on April 22nd.They broke ground on the pool the first of June. It is November 1 and my pool is incomplete (though it does have water in it), surface needs to be redone, pavers replaced, tile replaced, wrong jets installed, clean up isn't finished, heater is sitting non functional and they will keep telling me next week next week. They are big on talk but they can not deliver. I have had to ride them through the entire process and I attempted to fire them twice. Be warned breaking a Pool contract is very hard and I only found 1 company of nearly 20 I contacted that was willing to finish the work. Whatever company you sign with you are stuck with. I was given the personal word of Bill, the owner, that the pool would be completed October 1; It is now November 1 and the pool is still not done. They will make big promises to get all of your money but fail to deliver. I actually have a small amount owed to me that I can not get back. The total cost of my pool was $76,000 (64000 Pool 12000 enclosure). Read reviews and trust what they say. You may get lucky and be one of the few that get what they paid for, but are you willing to take that risk? I am taking the legal route to recoup and be made whole. I now have an over priced, non-functioning Pool with 0 warranty. Thanks Riviera A+++ (Sarcasm). I do want to point out the water guy Scott and the tile guy Eddie are top notch. They do genuinely care and tried their best to make up for all the other failures along the way. Unfortunately the hammer has to come from the top.

We had to complaint to the city  of Tampa so his contractor license be suspended. Hire an attorney and fight this for at least 10 months. At the end he decided to settle out of court and pay our attorney fees. It was a total mess and horrible experience

We contracted Riviera pools to build a custom pool for us late last year.  The pool began January 2nd, 2013 and was just completed.  While the construction process took significantly longer than quoted or expected, the final product looks amazing.  We went with most of the options that gave us as close to a maintenance free pool as possible.
Here is what we have:
*  6' Sun shelf for the kids, with a foam jet as a fountain in the middle
*  Spa with 8 jets.
  • *  3' Sheer decent waterfall, with rosette water features on both sides
  • *  Solar system (has been great!)
  • *  A&A in-Floor cleaning system with dual skimmers, which was ideal, since we didn't get a screen enclosure.
  • *  Filter, heater and pumps are all Pentair, which has amazing support and knowledge of their products.
  • *  Grand Effects Fire Bowls on the corners, tied into the pool automation
  • *  Artistic Pavers
  • *  Holloway coping (the only thing I don't recommend that we purchased. The product took forever to get and is soft, so you have to be very careful with it)

There were some hiccups, as with any construction project.  We brought the issues up to them as they came up, and eventually everything was fixed to our satisfaction.  The staff is always friendly and willing to talk.

WORK STARTED ON APRIL 7 AND IS NOT COMPLETE AS OF TODAY NOVEMBER 17, 2003. THIS COMPANY DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEIR COMMITMENT ON COMMUNICATION, STATUS OR TIMELINE FOR THE PROJECT. THEY WERE AT TIMES UNPROFESSIONAL AND CONDESCENDING IN THEIR COMMUNICATION WITH US AND INEVITABLY HAD EXCUSES FOR THINGS NOT GETTING DONE. IN ADDITION, THEY HAVE THREATENED US OVER $150.00 THAT THEY SAY IS PAST DUE TO THEM BEFORE PUNCH LIST ITEMS ARE COMPLETE. WE HAVE PAID THEM $29,000.00 AND THEY ARE UNRESPONSIVE IN CORRECTING THE PROBLEMS NEEDED TO FINISH THE JOB. IT HAS BEEN OVER 7 MONTHS AND THE JOB IS STILL NOT COMPLETE.
