Mike provides meticulous craftsmanship at a great value and produces amazing results.

Mike came to the house at the appointed time, measured the kitchen, discussed what we wanted him to do, and gave us an initial quote. He estimated it would take a week to complete the kitchen from demolition of old cabinets to the last detail. (Because of the unexpected need to repair the extensive termite damage, it actually took a little longer). Mike then finalized the quote after consultation with the kitchen designer he uses at Home Depot, and we gave him a deposit. After we accepted the quote, Mike actually went to Home Depot with me to help with my choices, facilitate the design process, and to specify exactly what he needed for the installation, i.e., matching board for a shelf and running feet of fillers (for between cabinets), crown molding, trim and base board. (The cost of 6 wall cabinets, 6 base cabinets, door handles, etc., came to $2800, which I have included in the overall project cost, but which I paid directly to Home Depot. This price included many "extras" from Home Depot because Mike had alerted me to a sale.) I purchased the flooring myself at Home Depot for around $200 and the paint from Sun Coatings for $100; I have included these charges, too, in the total project cost. Mike did all of the work himself with heavy lifting assistance from a helper. He has a truck full of all the necessary power tools for all phases of demolition, construction and installation. I observed some of the work myself: He is a true craftsman and does everything exactingly. He fabricated the absolutely seamless Formica-laminated, plywood countertop with bullnose edging at his shop. He purchased the stainless steel sink and faucet for me. At the end of each work day, the kitchen area was left perfectly clean. There was no mess tracked through the house. The finished kitchen is beautiful! It truly looks like a custom kitchen at half the cost. Every piece of molding is perfectly mitered. Every cabinet hangs true, and every cabinet door closes perfectly. The kitchen back door was perfectly installed. The detail in this tiny kitchen is amazing!!! We are going to hire Mike Zerance to do a lot more work on our house, because everything looks shabby now in comparison with our kitchen!
