QUALITY BRICK PAVERS INC

This is my first review I have ever posted about anything and I hate that it has to be negative. The work done and the pavers themselves are great. What has me so upset enough though to share my experience is how this company has made me feel as an unimportant and invaluable customer. As a first time home owner I was excited to make additions to my home, including a back patio area that I hired this company to do. I was very patient and understanding with the amount of time it took for the manufacturer to deliver the pavers. I noticed that when they were delivered it did not seem like enough and I mentioned that to the rep I had be dealing with. He told me it should be enough and if not he will get more. The day of installation he realized there were not enough pavers to complete the job. Well knowing how long it took to get the pavers the first time I was patient I did not bother him regarding the rest of the pavers until probably 3 weeks later, he brushed me off and said he would look into it. 2 more weeks I contacted him again with the same question, again he is looking into it. Finally I called at which that point he finally answered and said he had the wrong square footage for the estimate and i needed to pay the extra amount to finish the job. So almost 2 months later I am being told this! I honestly would not have minded paying the extra amount if he had been honest from the beginning. Not only that but “looking into the rest of the pavers” was a lie, he never actually ordered more until the day I spoke with him. The rep did finally agree to “eat the cost” and he would expedite the order of more pavers. Well 3 weeks later after being told “next week” multiple times, I called the office and I am being told it will be another 3 weeks. Basically, point of this story is if you want a small job complete that isn’t making this company thousands of dollars you will not get quality service. I was hesitant in sharing this experience before the completion of my patio but at this point it doesn’t matter. It is a shame that I have to share such a negative experience. I was planning on using this company to install a paved driveway, that is money this company has lost.

They were nice, but didn't meet the timing expectations set. Once they were ready to do the work, they did not provide any warning they were coming. Being there was important because I had to explain what had to be done and fixed as there was no continuity from who started the project to who completed it. So, one crew leader was there on the first day and then another crew leader was there 6 weeks later when they came to finish the job. The second crew leader didn't have all of the instructions as to what needed to be done. Ultimate, their work is quality, but not worth the aggravation.

They purchased the pavers, on the first day of installation I noticed the pavers had some raised sharp edges on them. I emailed Bob the owner, then followed up with a phone call and he assured me on the phone and emailed reply the sharp edges would naturally fall off and wouldn't affect anything, however after 2 - 3 months the sharp edges are still there.  My pet dog has been injured multiple times by these edges to where the last time I have had to take her to the vet that resulted in hundreds of dollars in vet bills and weeks of changing bandages.  My kids and I have also suffered multiple foot injuries to the point that we all have to be mindful about how we step and walk on our new pavers.  Their attempt to solve this has left some of my pavers chipped.  When they brought the compacter out to possibly resolve the issue the compacter burned some of the pavers as well.  In addition to this I still have some high and low spots that need to be fixed.

They are saying manufacturer defect so I had the manufacturer come out to inspect and there response was they were not installed properly.  However I informed quality brick pavers within the first few hours of them starting the installation and they assured me it would resolve by itself.  If it is a manufacturer defect they being the experts shouldn't have chosen to install them.

Craig was terrific from start to finish. He oversaw the project and was available at all times.

Fantastic work. We will have them back to do the remainder of the sidewalk and the front yard when we are ready. Prompt, fair price, and speedy work.

The pricing was not a problem. The quality of their work was nice.

They were very good. They seemed to know what they were doing. They got it all done in a day.

This project was a nightmare. A project that I was told would take 3-4 days ended up taking 5+ weeks. Over the course of the project, the communication was pathetic. I would call multiple times, talking to several different employees and at times being assured that I would received a return call from the owner, and still not get replies. There were days when we had no workers on the property with no explanation. The work was sloppy and it took weeks and numerous phone calls to get employees out that would look at the progress and agree that the quality was not adequate - yet time would still pass with no completion. I can't tell you how frustrating the experience was. Ultimately, the pavers are beautiful, the work not perfect, and we were left with a broken sprinkler system, and the company never offered a discount for all of our troubles. Be very careful in deciding on this company.

These guys are top notch. They came out twice prior to us hiring them and answered all of our questions. They were straightforward with all of their estimates and there were no surprises. In addition to the standard paver work, they helped us figure out how to deal with some drainage issues we have. So far so good - we'll see how it looks in the rainy season, but it's been a world of different thus far. Our backyard is a perfect spot for hanging out and playing with our 2 year-old. Really happy we spent the money on the project, and extremely happy that we chose these guys.

They were top-notch. They did everything they were supposed to but they also went above and beyond. I can’t say enough good things about them and I even told them they could leave their sign in my yard forever! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them because they did a professional job at a competitive price. Their price was the best and the work they performed was above average.

They did a good job. They were very responsive. I changed the concept several times and they were able to adjust the quote and get me a new quote back. They didn't give me any hassle about it; they just revised it as we went along. They were extremely fast. They ripped out the whole yard in one day and came back the next day to lay the whole thing. They had one more day of finishing work. I had gotten 3 or 4 estimates from other paver companies and although it was expensive, it was in line with the other quotes. All the companies charge about the same thing. It was very hot and they worked the whole day. They were kind but didn't speak English. It looks great.

As prep work for the new driveway, they removed the old brick pavers from the driveway, disposed of the bricks, cleaned out some roots of a big oak tree that were raising the bricks. They also plastered out the sidewalk to the house and paved the walkway to the house. My experience with them was excellent. They did excellent quality work. Everything was cleaned up and inspected, and was done within the timeframe expected. They made sure that the job was done to my satisfaction. I am very pleased with them.

TAKE THEM OFF YOUR LIST! HORRIBLE! I AM GOING TO HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO FINISH AND RE-DO WHAT THEY DID WRONG! Problems: 1. Walkway was crooked and had to be redone. 2. Patio is not even. One side is higher than the other. The company will not re-do it. 3. Second floor patio was not done correctly. I will have to hire someone else to do it. 4. They were careless with bricks. They dumped them out of wheelbarrows, breaking many of the bricks. 5. Messy. Left chicken bones from lunch in garage attracting bugs and ants and did not clean up mess from cutting bricks. 6. It will end up costing me more because I have to hire someone else to fix their mistakes.

THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE OPTION FOR A DRIVEWAY, BUT THE LOOK AND RESULTS ARE WONDERFUL. THE STAFF IS HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. THE WORK CREW DID BEAUTIFUL WORK. ONE HITCH WAS A CHANGE IN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. JIM DREW OUT THE PROJECT. MY ALTERATIONS TO THE DESIGN I THOUGHT WERE CLEAR. THE PATIO IS A BIT SMALLER THAN I HAD REQUESTED. THE WALKWAY IS PERFECT. THE WORK CREW DID NOT FOLLOW THE CONTRACTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER RESULTING IN A GAP BETWEENT A CULVERT WALL AND THE DRIVEWAY. MY ATTEMPTS TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED YIELDED A QUICK BUT LESS THAN SATISFACTORY REPAIR. A FURTHER CALL EXPRESSING DISMAY WAS ADDRESSED A FEW DAYS LATER WHEN A MINI-CREW MADE AN ADDITIONAL CORRECTION/REPAIR. DESPITE THIS MISHAP, I LEFT SATISFIED. QUALITY BRICK PAVERS IS AN HONORABLE BUSINESS. THE WORK IS BEAUTIFUL, MY SATISFACTION WAS IMPORTANT TO THEM.
