This is my go-to shop for my old beemer. The previous time I brought the car in for brakes, the mechanic noticed that the bushings were shot and asked if I had noticed any shake in the steering wheel. In fact I had it was shaking at 60 MPH noticeably. Anyhow, I brought it in for that and mentioned at the same time that my landlady had been complaining about leaks on the driveway. They determined I needed an engine gasket in addition to the bushings, and that the steering fluid was a little low (topped it off) and that the noise might mean the steering pump was on its way out, but no need to worry about it right now. Anyway, my point is, this shop is always looking out for me and let's me know if something can wait or should be done right away. I have strayed on occasion to other shops, but have always kicked myself and asked Why, Why, Why did I do that? If you have a beemer or Mercedes, don't hesitate to bring your car here. Ed Coker is the owner and has to be the nicest, most competent, trustworthy mechanic I have ever met. They are always busy, busy, busy, so it is best to call and schedule an appointment. The shop is on Davis Island where real estate is a premium, so they don't have a lot of space to store cars. You basically need to bring it there when they have an opening and can do the work. Once they slot you in, they are fast. I've never had to wait more than a day to get my car back, even when they had to fetch parts for it.

Have used Ed's service 3 times and will go back. Ed and staff knew everything about my 2001 BMW. Recently bought a 2006 and will service it there. Ed personally brought down the cost of OM parts, was cheaper than dealer, explained in detail the work that was done, gave up-front estimates, worked a good time in for me, even once took a tire for repair at a local shop for no charge.

NOTE: The last I was there was a year ago, it is/was a small shop and the paperwork is handled by the same guys who perform the service, I know that turns people off but I've never had a bad experience as I've found them very trustworthy. I've even dropped my car off with a note explaining the service required and the total work cost to be done without calling me, they called me while performing service to explain the work and cost and had it done the next day.
