The $2,600 was for another contractor to replace the beams. He had to get an engineering drawing in order to allow them to just do that work. He needed a structural engineer to provide a drawing to the permit department in order to bring it up to code or whatever. He got it done, but he took forever. He strung us along. He was not prompt. We were under a time where we had to get things done because we had another closing. It delayed the second closing because he was not taking enough time to do what he needed to do. He was blowing us off.  Just delays, delays, delays. It passed inspection. With him, it was just, I had to call him every single day and he would sometimes not answer me for three days and then not show up for a week. Basically he had us, you know what I mean? Even trying to get the inspection done, he didn’t do that right. It took us forever. It took us like two months to get that done, when it should have only taken a couple of weeks, two or three weeks at the most. We had to get another inspector from the county to inspect it. They didn’t do a home inspection, but they inspected the work and once it passed. Since the original buyer had an inspection done by a company, we didn’t pay for it. The original buyer is the one who found the problem. These problems, I had to take care of, so I didn’t pay for home inspection. The home buyer did and then when the second buyer, they didn’t need to get a home inspection because they had the first one information so all we needed to do is bring everything up to code, where it needed to be. I did not have first-hand experience with the home inspector.

Charlie hired unlicensed workers to do the work. We had to hire someone else to come and finish the work and had to pay so much more! Charlie is a crook and should be not be aloud to ever do this again to anyone. My partner is 73 years old and I feel Charlie took advantage!
