Came out and installed a pump for me and within a week it already doesn't work. Charged my credit card for the pump without notification. When I asked them to come out and look at it, they said it could result in a charge. Without even coming out to reinspect, they told me pump is just fine and something else totally unrelated must be causing my brand new pump not to work. Then suggested I call the manufacturer (Jandy) to come out if I think something is wrong with it. I can't make this stuff up!!

I called this provider this morning and they arrived already. Very prompt and quote was half the price of someone else.

We went with them because they are near so that if we have a problem they can respond quickly.  It took them two months to get the job done.  They drained the pool first and then they came back to do the work.  I think this kind of job really takes time to get done.   

They were comparable to everybody we got a quote from.  It took us pushing to get the job done.  

They are a chain and located in many places. They have pretty much everything that we need and it is just very close to our house. They are very professional.

I spoke with them over the phone several times about the heatpump and how it worked. They quoted me some estimates and then told me where to look them up on the internet. Did that and then went by the store. Talked to them in detail, saw more info and got more explanations. These guys at the Bearss Store are always helpful even on the simple things when I go by. Always have an answer or suggestion. I have only bought little things there before since I have a pool service but I wanted someone to install my heatpump that would be there for the long haul. They were on time, did a great job and I had 90 degree water the same afternoon. So far it has been great. I will continue to the Bearss Store for everything I need concerning my pool.

The owner is really friendly and nice. The prices are what would be expected. I would highly recommend them.

They replaced the pool pump but needed to do additional work to get it to fit in the space, replacing a suction side with three-way valve and 1.5 inch ball valve. We thought this was going to cost $312, but the additional work brought it to $542

I had received a much higher quote from an electrical company, but called Pinch A Penny to find out if they performed this kind of work as well. I am so glad I did! They checked the system out, confirmed the problem, and came in with a quote about $900 less than the electrical company. They were back out with the parts in no time to make the repair, and spent a great deal of time making sure that everything was working correctly. They also noticed one of my actuator's was having problems. I asked them to go ahead and replace the actuator as well, and they were out the next day to fix it. Prompt, professional, courteous, thorough, knowledgeable. I just can't say enough good things about this company!

I called for an estimate after researching the price of a pool pump on the internet. Subsequently I called Pinch A Penny.

Trey from the company came out and replaced my pool motor and installed new PVC piping, new gaskets, and replaced an O ring in the skimmer. He did excellent work and gave me a 2 year warranty on the parts and labor. Before he came I had an estimate over the phone (there was a $75 trip charge but that went toward the labor cost) and the price was exactly what was quoted.

Haywood pool filter was allowing DE powder into the pool. As it is a system that is well over fourteen years old and had other problems: sticky or hard to turn multi-port valve and was leaking from the PVC connections, two other services were quick to recommend replacing the whole system. #72 sent a person to take a look at the system, make a diagram of the set up to take back to the technician and gave an estimate of the costs for either repair or replacement of the system. It was mutually decided that the best thing to do was pay for a service call and have the technician (in this case co-owner, Chip C.) take the system apart to get a better idea about the problem and the final solution. Tech saw that only one of the grids were bad, that the last time the key and stem assembly had been replaced (by another contractor) it was not the right size and that the replacement of a gasket and o ring would stop the leak so that is what we did.

WHAT A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE! ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES WERE PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND HONEST. THE CONTRACTOR THAT WAS USED FOR SOLAR INSTALLATION, WAS A PRO AND ALSO VERY COURTEOUS. I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED. I HAD DONE EXTENSIVE COMPARISON SHOPPING AND BEEN BURNED BY ANOTHER FRANCHISE WHO PROMISED A WARRANTY HE DIDN'T DELIVER. IT WASN'T EASY FOR CHIP TO EARN MY TRUST AND RESPECT, BUT HE DID SO WITH BOUNDLESS PATIENCE. I APPRECIATE THAT HE IS RUNNING A FAMILY BUSINESS AND THAT HE REALLY CARES ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
