Phil's Handy Service, Inc

Not sure whats up with this guy Phil. He came out to look at my door. He said he would e-mail me with a price and never e-mailed a promised.

Phil is fantastic! On time, GREAT work, all at a fair price. We had (and still have) a series of projects to do around the house and chose Phil based on outstanding reviews and personal recommendations. We could not be happier! He can do almost anything, and he is very honest about the things he won't do (painting) or projects that he thinks someone else would do cheaper and easier -- and then he'll recommend contractors for those tasks. We highly recommend Phil for all of your handyman requirements, and we will continue to use him as we update our home. The projects he has completed look great, and we expect that the next series of improvements will be equally professional!

Phil and his assistant were on time, very professional and knowledgeable. They cleaned up and put things back as they were. Scheduling the appointment was easily done on his website, and when I needed to reschedule I both left him a voice mail and used his website process-very user-friendly. The price of $740 includes the ladder which they picked up and brought with them. Phil recommended a painted to complete the job since he doesn't do painting and we're in the process of scheduling him.

Phil did an excellent job on my home repair project. His attention to detail was exceptional and he was a pleasure to work with.

Phil did an amazing job renovating my kitchen and laundry room. He was very professional and his workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. I love my new kitchen and would recommend his services from small jobs to large projects like my kitchen.

Firstly- he had no right to look into my shed, nor attempt to look into my home. That being said, I will not recommend this person, nor do i want him on my property again. Also, his price was outrageous for the work at hand. . I found a handyman do if for 1/3 the price.

I contacted Phil's Handy Service the first of July asking for service.  His outgoing message indicated at the time that he was booked until the 3rd week of July.  But to leave my name/number to be placed on a list which I did.  
The 3rd week of July came and went and I had zero response from Phil.  I called again.  This time the outgoing message indicated he was booked until the 2nd week of August.  Somehow I had been completely overlooked for needed services in his July timeframe.  
His outgoing message indicated to send an email with a list of needed services.  Again, I did.  Zero response again!
On August 13th I sent another email saying it would have been both professional and considerate for him to have notified me of his lack of interest in my projects.  Only then did I get a reply which indicated he was booked and taking no more work. 
He wasted a total of a month and a half of my time waiting on him to provide a service which I feel he never had any intention of providing.  If he isn't able to do the work or has no interest in doing the work then he needs to have the courtesy to let a potential customer know this up front.  
I would not recommend Phil's Handy Service to anyone.

Many service companies indicated that this was a job that was too small for them.  Phil came right out and gave me an estimate.  2 hours later the job was complete!  Couldn't even tell that there was a repair.  Professional work and cleaned up the mess as well. Easy to work with and a nice guy to boot!  Would recommend to anyone! :)

Phil came to my rescue when I needed fast service to change out a window AC unit in a tenant-occupied beach cottage. He got me scheduled right away, showed up on time, and did a great job. It was one of the big HEAVY wall units that cool and heat, and it was something of a beast to change out. Phil came well-prepared, assessed the situation fully and executed the job professionally - no short cuts, damage, or sloppiness. He removed the old rusted out sleeve and made sure the new one was caulked/sealed completely. The installation was neatly done and secure, and his price was very fair. Will DEFINITELY use Phil's Handy Service again!
