Paul Klink and Kim Decanini

My husband and I bought our first home about a year ago with Paul as our real estate agent. We were extremely disappointed and dissatisfied, but unfortunately for us the whole process moved so quickly, and, being first time home buyers, we were so lost that we didn't have the time or wisdom to get a different agent before all was said and done. We did the hard work. WE found our house on realtor.Com, we had to decide what to offer with literally zero guidance from Paul, despite repeatedly asking for his advice, and we had to figure out everything about the closing process with, again, zero help from Paul. I had to call our bank because I didnt know who else to call when he couldnt tell us where or when to show up for closing and what exactly to bring. How the h*** am I supposed to know this when ive never done this before. Some of our friends have told us their agents took care of the scheduling and all that for them. I dont know why we were responsible for this. He had the balls to remind us to leave a review on zillow after closing. Well here you go. Better late than never. And yes my anger is still this intense one year later. I don't know if he didn't take us seriousy because we're relatively young (30yo), if our budget was too low ($270k), I really dont know. But as first time home buyers we needed help, and he was short with us, and made us feel like we were bothering him. We were not pests. We didnt see a thousand houses... We literally bought the first and only house we went to see with him. Thats why it moved so fast. I was absolutely shocked at closing to see how much money he made from our purchase when he did as close to nothing as possible for us. Why did I wait a year to review? Oh because I didnt want to burn bridges in case I needed a statement from him in a law suit against either the sellers or the home inspector about all the crap our home inspector failed to tell us and we didnt know to ask because, again, first time home buyers, naive, zero guidance. Unpermitted and badly leaking roof, failing ac, faulty electrical wiring, completely nonfunctioning and leaking inground pool to name a few. But after interviewing multiple lawyers it turns out the time and money we'd risk in the uphill battle will not be worth it when we have more important things we need to focus on like our two small children. So now that I dont have to worry abou any further relationship with Paul I want to make sure everyone knows how unhelpful he was, and how disappointed we were. Definitely would never recommend, especially to first time home buyer. Even if our house never turned up any unforseen issues we still would never recommend him.
