Nick, the owner, is a seemingly easy-going and likable guy.  He squeezed our job into his schedule to fit with our * very* tight window of opportunity, which happened to be over a holiday weekend.
Punctuality was on-par with most Tampa service guys.  "-ish" is the time frame.  Expecting that, he and his crew were "Tampa-punctual".
Based on our past experiences in refinishing HW floors, the quality was less than we had expected.  Some of the problems were avoidable (e.g., orange peeling, running, etc.).  Other problems may have been sub-surface and hard to predict/prevent.
Nick has been a stand-up guy on the quality issue- and just generally.
I'd recommend him and would use Oakleaf again in the future.  Next time, I'll leave more time.

They are just very honest and straightforward.  They do what they say they are going to do.  They are polite.  They are totally into making sure their customer is comfortable, safe, and pleased with what they are doing.

 At every stage of the process Oakleaf's workers were meticulous, hard working, skilled and polite.  If I could characterize their service, it would be "We want to do the best job possible and in doing so make you a happy customer." They replaced the missing flooring being careful to expertly match what was already there.  You can't even tell that it has been replaced.  They took their time carefully covering my dining room wallpaper with plastic to ensure that no dust would get on it, as it was a fiber wallpaper.  Oakleaf uses machines that have a vacuum attached to the sander so that  most of the dust is whisked outside to a holding tank.  They also handscraped all of the edges of all of the rooms in addition to all of the hard to reach corners.   The owner Nicholas Largay is easy to work with, provided great sample stains to work from, and is very knowledgeable about flooring,  floor products, etc.  My husband, who never in 15 years has thrown anything down the laundry chute decided to do so the night before they applied their final coat of finish.  When they opened the laundry chute closet to apply the finish they found the clothes and quickly whisked them up and tossed them in the laundry room which was down the hall.  The next day when they came back they found some dust spots in the finish by the laundry chute and surmised that it was probably from his clothes and insisted on doing the floors again.  It was really not bad and I even said "oh, it's okay," but they were not willing to leave the job like that.  So they, sanded again and applied another coat. Where do you find pride in workmenship like that? I am a neat nick, so what I thought was going to be a very painful and disruptive but necessary process, was really not all that bad. As I said before they were meticulous in everything they did, including cleaning up.    My floors are now beautiful! I would wholeheartedly recommend them for any of your flooring needs!!!
