I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. I have a condo where my disabled sister lives. The A/C went out. I called a different company first, and was told by their repairman that it had been "hit by lightning or something" and the whole condenser was "fried." The other company gave me an estimate for $6500 and then left my sister sitting in the hot condo. I called Northside, they sent someone out in 2 hours. He was able to fix it quickly (just $229) and we had cold air running in 30 minutes. And he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need! The unit is old and will eventually need to be replaced, and I will be calling Northside for sure!

I did my research and was treated like an idiot because I am female. Model was not listed only brand. Features that I requested, filtration and UV-C were omitted. Quote was worthless.

Overpriced !! BEWARE of their "packaged pricing" $200 - $250 hourly labor rate. Did not have the parts that they needed on their truck, Really! I will Never use them again, and I will spread the word to my family & friends and in our Carrollwood Springs subdivision

They understand people with low income. They do not make any hard selling. Jonathan, one of the technician, is one of the nicest guys there. He went out of his way and goes extra mile to help us out. They do not make any hardselling. He took pictures and showed it to us, and we saw the parts that were needed done were changed due to before and after photos.

We renovated a 1924 house all of the plumbing had to be updated, we interviewed several companies and all seemed to have an excuse as to why they couldn’t do the job, my take was they just didn’t have the experience with extremely old homes, were lazy and just didn’t want to do the work.  But Jason (Northside) had no problem with the amount of work it would entail and it was a lot, he told us exactly what had to be done and what he’d probably find during the process.  Everything Jason told us about our old plumbing was true and he completed the job with no problems. We had so many problems with other contractors working on the home and with inspections, but never with plumbing all our inspections passed the first time. I highly recommend Northside Services ask for Jason if you have plumbing needs.  He’s very professional and knowledgeable, he's a great guy to work with we've been very happy with all the plumbing.   R & S Smart

In April 2017 we scheduled our annual service and maintenance but no one showed up. In August 2017 we called again to schedule our annual service. They showed up on time and the service mail was one of the best service people that has been sent by the company. He did however keep trying to up sell us. He said he could not change out the filter that is now in the garage attic (at Northside's recommendation) because the company had changed their policy. The service man said it would take too long to complete a blower cleaning and scheduled it for 2 days later which was confirmed via email. No one showed up. When we called they said it wasn't on the schedule. My husband spoke with the office manager several times (who said they were very busy) and she did send someone out right away to clean the blower after the third call, however they didn't bring the correct filter. For the last 3 years they have had to return to bring the correct filter despite us reminding them each time. My husband still hasn't received a call from the person who handles complaints even though he was told more than once that he would be calling. Still no filter...Northside installed two units at our house 10 years ago and over the last few years the service has become horrible. We do not plan to use Northside when it is time to replace our system due to poor service and our feelings of frustration and lack of respect for their long time customers. Not sure at the moment how we feel about continuing to use them for annual service. The next time we call and no one shows up, we're probably done.

There's this electrostatic thing that's on my air conditioner, and they said that they can't find me one. There's a wire or something on there that burnt out, and I don't know, they said they just can't find another one. I don't know if they're just blowing me off or if they really can't find it. It's very strange. Weird. It's under warranty, so I have to have it serviced by them every year, and so if something goes wrong, then they can fix it without charge. Yeah, and it's discontinued, which is so weird because it's not that old. So it's discontinued, but it's just like, I don't know, they just kept blowing me off about the whole thing. I have been. I have been, but this is kind of like a recent thing, so I'm still in the middle of trying to figure it out.

One of the reasons I stopped using them was because they told me that I needed to replace my entire air conditioner which I didn't and I'm still having the same air conditioner with had somebody come out.

They were very nice people. They were very responsive and they did a great job and they were very clean and they cleaned up everything to my satisfaction. It was good, they were very good. 

They'd probably be in my top three though, if I couldn't find somebody else that, if I had to buy a brand new system I would use them.

Service with Northside was awesome! I first worked with one of their sales representatives to figure out what system to replace my old system with. He was very informative regarding the different options available and was able to give me several solutions. He also spent a good amount of time with me to determine what I really wanted/required. This alone was above the competition as the other company that came out simply looked over the system and gave me a quote, no discussion on a solution and not very informative. After deciding on what system to go with, I had two technicians on site the next day. Both technicians were very personable and thorough during the installation. They took about 6 hours to install the new system and everything worked at first startup. I am very pleased with the new system and the service I got from Northside. Their price was very much in line with their competitors as I got two other estimates prior to this installation. I would highly recommend this company for your A/C needs and will continue to do business with them.

We have used Northside for years and years but we just recently switched to Cornerstone. We have nothing against Northside. We just decided to change to Cornerstone and equally they were wonderful. If we have an electrical problem, I think we'll have Northside come. We trust them. When they did a job, they did a great job.

Perfectly fine with the price for an emergency weekend service call and the tech was pleasant enough. When asked about a repair cost on my 3 ton Bryant was quoted over $2,500 to replace the compressor. I was shocked at that quote based on what a new system would cost. Did some price checking and got it repaired for $1,000 less using another Angie's list A/C service then this inflated quote. Buyer beware with their price quotes.

They started out wonderfully. However, they may have had a management change, which may have made their customer service drop a notch or two. When they came to do an annual inspection of the AC, one of them stepped through the drywall in the ceiling over a closet. They hired a contractor to fix it, but they didn't keep us informed about what was going on.

I have been a customer of Northside for over ten years. Last year they installed a new heat pump, their second installation at my residence, and my agreement called for the first year's maintenance free, including replacement of the HEPA filter on the air handler. The technician who performed the maintenance did a fine, thorough job, but said that the filter was not free and would cost $94 to replace it. We contacted the office and went through the agreement but they refused to honor it. I assume that failure to replace the filter could invalidate the warranty, so I retained another service provider from Angie's list to do the work. My last contact was to leave a voice mail with Brian, a manager, who never returned my call. This has caused me to disqualify Northside from any future work, and ends a 10 year relationship.

From the various companies that we obtained quotes,their sales person was the only one that went through the attic checking duct work and measuring intake versus what it should have been.  From my research I found it was at least as important that the installation be done well  as the specific brand being installed.
It took less time than estimated. It was completed in one day. They repaired and installed some additional duct work to provide better intake for the A/C. They  were all extremely polite,friendly and answered any questions that we had. They cleaned  any areas that paint chips fell. Protected the rug from foot traffic. A plumber from Northside arrived while they were working and reviewed all the plumbing and made recommendations for the water heater when it's time arrived.
I would recommend them without any hesitation. from the sales person through the installation they were friendly and professional.

When I purchased the AC, I asked for the best they had.  I purchased an extended warranty.  I have had several probllems with this unit since I purchased it.  I have not had to pay anything, but am very disappointed that the unit they sold me is not very good.   The workers were very professional.  The sales person is not trust worthy.

Their team was exceptional in every respect. Our AC was getting up in years and starting to repeatedly break down. When we starting getting quotes, we found out that the ductwork from 1984 was a mess, and we had always never been thrilled with the cooling of the house in the summer. James came out to our home twice to evaluate the house and provide the quote, and then answer our questions. He provided a detailed set of options and choices for us. They were not the least expensive, but they were the most professional and articulate about what we could do to improve our home. Once we decided on them, they were quick to get prepared and they accommodated our schedule on the start date. They told us it would take two days to do the work, and that is exactly what it took. Peter, the lead installer, and his team of Andrew, Amaury, and Ben were incredible workers. They arrived early and worked hard all day, despite the late summer heat in the attic. They kept cleaning up after themselves and when they left after the first day, all of the ductwork they had pulled out of the attic, along with the old unit were already gone so we were able to use our garage overnight. The new returns required cuts in the ceiling, which they did with skill and their work did not require any patching to the texture. Peter explained each step in the process, and despite the heat and hard labor, he was consistently pleasant and precise about his work. This team was the most friendly and considerate group of contractors we've had at the house. The permit inspection a few days later had zero issues.
We are very pleased with the greatly improved cooling and cleaner air in the house - and with the job they did for us.

The window was 3-7 and the tech showed up around 3:30! He kept me informed of what he found and what he was doing. Thankfully there was no parts to replace, so it was just a service call. The drain plugged up and the unit froze up as well as filling with water. He showed me a video of what happened when he took off the access panel (water gushing out). Great thinking ahead! Also, the return hose was full of water. He drained out the water and serviced it. They had installed it for us 9 year ago (almost to the day) and I think we might have had it serviced once since then, so it is a good unit.

Chase was the tech that performed the work. He called and was able to arrive early. He was professional and explained everything he was doing prior to doing it, then gave me options on what I could do for repairs, and upgrades.
