NORTH ROME LUMBER CO

I've purchased specialized siding and other lumber from them 3 times this year. They cut the siding accurately to spec, and provided courteous and timely service and good prices. I don't know any other lumber yard that could provide equal services. I will continue to use them.

I contacted North Rome Lumber two separate times, approximately six months apart. Once was to order hardwood ply (3/4and quot; Black Walnut) which is not inexpensive lumber. I wanted to purchase 14 sheets, and requested a quote. My number was taken,and I was assured that I would receive a call... Still waiting, over eight months. (I purchased the lumber from another supplier.) The second time I contacted them, this time in person, I requested a price on 400 board feet of black walnut dimensional lumber. Again, I got no response after leaving my number with a woman who assured me that and quot;her husbandand quot; would contact me. ( Again, I purchased the lumber from another supplier.) I will not contact that company again, and would not recommend them to anyone.

I couldn't find the width of trim molding I needed at any of the big box stores so I stopped at North Rome Lumber. They didn't have the right width either but I found the profile I wanted and they ripped the molding to the right width for me. No extra charge. I had been all over town and in 15 minutes I had precisely what I needed. This is a locally owned and operated lumber company that I've frequented for years. They do some millwork and have all kinds of molding. I always find what I want there. I don't know why I didn't go there first. It's the best kept secret in Tampa.

They were very professional. If they say they can do it they will.
