HORRIBLE experience. Was told initially move would cost around 3900$, totaled out closer to 4500$. Was promised a moving van (large freight-liner) and 3 man crew, full service and white glove treatment for antiques and belongings. Two older gentlemen in a U-Haul showed up, had to assist with inventory (they manually wrote down items) and then definitely assist with unloading to get it done before midnight. The two men were very helpful and kind, but were NOT given the equipment needed to perform the move, the last items on the truck were king size mattresses and they were left with 2" to close the doors of the truck when these were strapped in. They had stacked all of the boxes, tubs and items so tightly that many pieces were squished, even a Rubbermaid tub was squashed by this move. I was completely up front about the size of the storage unit and contents, and was assured a FULL SIZE MOVING CONTAINER/TRUCK would be used. If I wanted to rent a U-Haul, I'd have done so and saved 4k. This company is the logistics company, the middle man, I understood that, but their promises should be kept, not passed down to two men trying their best. The owner of the actual movers speaks very broken/difficult to understand English, only called to say the driver would call me when they had an estimated pick up (2 days past the day promised), and to request payment via cashiers check. Nationwide had stated in the initial booking that I would be able to charge these costs to my credit card, kind of a nasty surprise on the day of delivery. (always read the very fine print, never trust the sales man) The lady in Nationwide's office, Maria, I think, is very helpful initially but will change when confronted with any negative comments. Overall a very extremely high price for a small truck and few men.
Description of Work: State to state move. Original location for pick up had all items already wrapped/boxed, just needed to be collected from storage and delivered to new address.
