The special thing about Mike Glunk and his company MCG & Associates is that you can pick out your tile from any tile store ( Hillsborough or Pinellas County) and they will pick it up and install it anyway you like. My daughter selected this very large 2 foot by 2 foot tile that was installed at a 45 degree angle. The job was professionally completed and we were all very satisfied. They agreed to install a new toilet, and a very tight grout line.

We hired MCG to tile our home during a kitchen remodel. We chose a dark, wood look tile. Upon returning home on the first day they began, we thought odd that they were using white thin set. This may have been the store we bought the tile/supplies from doing, but someone who knows what they are doing, would have asked to switch to gray. Each day, the guest bathroom was left to look like an unwashed public restroom - gross and unacceptable. We have a small home- less than 1000 sq ft minus the guest bedroom and it took them over a week to complete the job. They wanted to work on Christmas eve, which we did tell them wasn't necessary. They insisted, showed up, we had to leave the house and they truly accomplished NOTHING on this day. Not sure if crew is paid by the hour or job- but they show up at 8 or 9 and always leave at 3!!! When it came time to grout we chose a dark color and asked about all of the WHITE thinset that was oozing up between almost all of the tiles. We were assured that they would scrape this, so it wouldn't be seen. The crews grouting skills are TERRIBLE! the color ended up gray vs 'truffle' which is almost black. When Mike was asked about this, he said that it was because of the direction of the way his crew mopped the floor. I know quite a bit about tile/grout as my family has been in the industry for years (unfortunately not local or I would never have needed to hire a less than 2nd rate company like MCG); so knew this was absolutely not the case and the grout would not cure to the color intended. Mike had said to call him after the kitchen remodel was complete and we could address issues at that time. We did so.... He never returned my husbands calls and actually answered one day when my husband called. He said that he planned to be on our side of town within a couple of weeks and would call and stop by.... NEVER HAPPENED... Do not hire this company unless you want a lot of chipped tile installed, terrible grout work, not the color intended and your restrooms not respected. YES, one day they even had the audacity to use the master bathroom (absolutely not necessary as the bathrooms weren't getting tiled) and they didn't raise the seat! Mike does not stand behind his work and was a true disappointment.

Well, once complete, the floor was completely out of level, the walls have tiles that are very uneven, the cutouts in shower walls that are tiled hold water instead of draining out the right way.  Mike was asked to redo the floor since it was so uneven a ball could roll across it and charged us to replace the tile.  He did not want to fix the problems in the shower.  When they came back to do the floor I had to pay to have the cabinet taken out and reinstalled.  The men that came out not only made me feel uncomfortable they smelled like alcohol.  Our plumber told me the whole job looked like a do it yourself job.
They also scratched the bathtub removing it and scratched our glass front door taking in sheet rock.  The knocked a hole through the shower wall in to my sons room as well.  What a nightmare.
It was a terrible experience.  I am still upset about it.....especially after every shower I have to dry water from the bench, threshold, and cutouts where u put your shampoo.

It started out well.  Mike's employees did a good job laying the tiles.  I got a new toilet at Sam's club and noticed it was cracked.  Mike was nice enough to take it back to Sam's club so that I could get another one.  I had no way to transport it.  I asked Mike to come back after the work was completed, because one of the tiles that was layed was poking up and needed replaced.  I also asked him to replace some tiles in front of the kitchen cabinet because I got new cabinets and there was a gap.  I also needed some grout work done around the tub in the master bath. So for a extra charge, he came back to do this work.  I supposively wasn't charged for the tile that was poking up and needed replaced, though.  The guys left without finishing the work.  I think that they may have forgot what they were supposed to do.  This work was never completed.  The grouting in the master bath wasn't finished even though I paid extra to have it done. They were also supposed to come back to grout in front of the bathroom vanities, and it was never done.   After getting a new stove, I noticed that grouting wasn't finished under the stove.  I got a new dishwasher and now there was a gap in the tile in front of the dish washer.  Under the dishwasher had not been tiled.  I contacted Mike periodically for a year trying to get him back to finish the work and do what was needed to be completed.  He never returned my phone calls.  I ended up paying someone more money to have done what he didn't complete.  He seemed like such a nice person up front, so I didn't expect this from him.  I turned out to be disappointed.

Professional, Superior Job. Mike Gluck and his 3 crews of his own workers do quality work and are easy to work with. I had to change his schedule around to accommodate for demolition of my kitchen and he was very accommodating. He even worked weekends to meet our schedule at no extra charge. They demo'd the 1900 sq feet of tile in one day and installed 1500 sq feet of tile in four days. They also delivered the tile and hauled away all the old tile and dust. Great price, beautiful job.

Fantastic. The quality craftsmanship was great not to mention the professionalism. It is a very unique company It is a tile installation company but with onsite management. We paid for the tile and they picked it up and delivered it as part of their service. Not your ordinary installers.
