Dr. Lowery is an excellent podiatrist. He diagnosed my problem and set a course of treatment that helped a great deal.

They took x-rays of the toe.  He said there was nothing he could do for it.  Hopefully the pain would go away.  My toe was locking in the position of the bend and would stay like that.  Said my other toe next to it was starting to do the same.  Years down the road I may have to have it operated on.  I paid and left.  I just felt like it was a waste of time.  No hope to stop the terrible pain.  I then bought some aligning toe tape and it is actually helping.  It does it gradually and helps the pain.  He did what he could, I just felt like there could have been something to help with pain or prevent any more damage.

I had tried to reduce pain in my heel diagnosed by my primary care physician as Plantar Fasciitis by doing an exercise regimen and wearing shoes all the time. This failed to provide relief, so I saw Dr. Lowrey for a series of appointments. He took a detailed medical history, and used ultrasound to better diagnose the cause of my pain and its resolution. I was given a cortisone  shot during this first visit, and instructed to return. Bottom line--after a second shot, and my following his prescribed exercises and direction on the sort of shoes to wear, my pain is gone.
I found the Doctor and his team to be cordial, caring and professional. I would recommend Dr. Lowrey with great enthusiasm.

My son had multiple procedures performed at the Tampa office and one int he Clearwater office. Thank God he only has two big toes :) All went well. Great experience with the office and doctor. I have a need for the same thing and will be going there myself soon.

I called and received an appointment with Dr. Lowrey within one week. I downloaded the intake forms and had them filled out and ready when I walked into the appointment. After waiting 45 minutes in the waiting room, I was taken into an exam room and waited another 15 minutes before Dr. Lowrey came in to examine a lump I had on my toe. It took him approximately 5 minutes to recommend surgery and he was off to the next patient. After scheduling the surgery for a week later, I became concerned about how much my insurance would pay toward Dr. Lowrey's bill. I called his office and asked them to find out what my coverage was based on what Dr. Lowrey's fee was. The woman I spoke with said it would be better for me to call the insurance company. I said I wouldn't mind, but I needed to know how much Dr. Lowrey's fee was. She didn't seem to understand my point and rather than belabor it, I said I would call the insurance company. I cancelled the surgery for several reasons. First, I did not like having to wait 45 minutes for an appointment, especially since I had the paperwork completed before I came in. If a doctor does that on a patient's first visit, what can a patient expect in subsequent visits? Second, I could not find out what Dr. Lowrey's fees for the surgery were and I did not want to get hit with a huge bill out of pocket because his fees were higher than the allowable rate. Third, I recently received a bill from his office asking for $89 and stating that this amount was going toward my deductible - I do not have a deductible - I have an HRA and there is more than enough money in that for such charges. This was stated on my insurance card which apparently, his staff did not read. When I called his office, they said that they usually put that on the chart and they had not done so in this case. In those cases, she explained, they wait for the insurance payment before billing the client. She said they would do so now. It does not seem like a professionally run office, either in time management or administration. And most importantly, to see a patient for 5 minutes and rush off to the next patient concerns me about Dr. Lowrey. He seemed more concerned about going from one exam room to the next than he was about discussing alternative solutions to my problem.

All of the staff, as well as Dr. Lowrey, were extremely friendly and helpful. The office was very clean and I did not have to wait long for my appointment. I've continued to go to Dr. Lowrey for a couple of months now.
