"Thank you Jeff, we appreciate our customers and hearing about their experiences!"
"Our goal is to exceed your expectations! Our price is usually very low because we do lots of rooms. Thank you to our wonderful customers and their referrals."
"We completely stand behind our 1 year warranty and are truly sorry to hear about problems persisting beyond our warranty. We wish we had the man power to do more work and keep past customers happy too."
"Thanks Kenneth!"
The insulated roof was installed the first day. They cut and assembled all the aluminum on site and built the roof beams on the ground. The side walls were put up and screened first, the roof beams were put up the next day and screened. All the finishing touches and caulking was completed.
I was told everything would be cleaned up and we would never know they had been there. When everything was done, they used a high powered leaf blower to blow all the debris and all the scraps of aluminum and screening material was picked up.
The problem I had with this was 3 fold. I had a new deck built with concrete pavers. The pavers were just installed and sanded. The blower used to clean up removed a great deal of sand, and also left plenty of gaps between the pavers for tiny aluminum shavings to become embedded. I spent several evenings with a tiny pick and a little trash can picking hundreds of very sharp curled up coils of aluminum shavings that could have worked like splinters in bare feet around the pool. While I got most of them, I am still finding bits of aluminum in the sand. I'm not sure if there is any way to prevent this issue with pavers, but a tarp or plastic sheet may have helped in the drilling and cutting process. I have also heard this is not an uncommon issue in drilling screws into aluminum. It was not a huge problem, just more of an inconvenience in the cleanup for me and concern for young toes. I am writing this here, but did not really make a big issue of it to the company.
There was a small leak in the end of one of the gutters that are attached to the downspout. We did not see it, but heard it dripping after the first heavy rain. I called John, the owner and explained the issue. He sent someone out the following day and they caulked around the entire gutter end cap. It rained again that evening, and the leak did not occur again, so hopefully that will not be a problem again.
While all these issues seem very minor, mentioning them may help prevent them on the next job.
Overall, I am more than happy with my new screen enclosure. It looks beautiful, it is very well built and I am sure it will withstand the test of time and weather for many years to come.
"Thank you for your kind words, we always strive to be the best we can and will make improvements when identified. We appreciate you taking the time to review us."
"Thank you for your review, Victoria. We appreciate our customers."
It was very good. It was about a year ago. They were efficient. The guy was pretty good. He told me what it cost and did the job.
"First of all, we gave the member a free estimate on 3/15/12 for $3100. He did not e-mail a signed proposal back to us for days (3/19/12); after agreeing to a discounted price of $2945. We immediately sent off for SITE SPECIFIC ENGINEERING. Once this was received (along with the survey and county required NOC), we immediately applied for the permit (on 3/28/12). After waiting 5 weeks, the permit came ready (5/1/12) and the customer called to ask when we could start. We had the concrete dug out; termite sprayed, pre-inspected, and poured; then built the screen room and got our final inspection. On 6/11 our receptionist talked to the customer and made a work order for his miscellaneous repair (a broken bolt caused a cable to detach). As a side note, the cable we installed was NOT a required engineering component, we just like to over-build many of our enclosures. Therefore, it had NOTHING to do with the engineering design, building code requirements or inspection result. Due to numerous storms and heavy rains, then a pre-planned summer vacation for the kids, their repair was not completed as quickly as usual (21 days). I DO ADMIT we usually take care of any repairs within one business week, however, this was an odd/stormy/busy time, and luckily, the items did not affect their enclosure usage what-so-ever. Quite a few of these days were completely rained out, which meant we could not work (remember Tropical Storm Debbie, which flooded Tampa?!?!). On Friday 7/30/12, at 3:45pm, the customer called, and after cursing and yelling at our receptionist, he threatened to SUE if the bolt/cable was not taken care of THAT EVENING or the following day (Saturday). On Monday 7/2/12 the business owner called the customer, spoke with his wife, and told her that he would be coming out personally to take care of the issue, within the next few hours. Upon arriving, the customer’s wife was very rude and demanded that we install more dirt and sod around their concrete slab, by the following day (7/3/12) or else THEY WOULD SUE. Yep, there was that wonderful threat again.. While this is NOT our responsibility OR a part of the contract, we agreed to do the work, free of charge, on Wednesday 7/4/12, in hopes of resolving the matter FOR GOOD. If I have any additional comments, I would tell everyone to stay FAR away from this customer. Their integrity is non-existent and they love to threaten you with law suit after law suit. I would not recommend this customer to anyone nor would I ever work for them again."
"I believe this leaking issue has been resolved, after MANY tries. We sent 4 different and experienced men out to take care of this issue, each time when it continued to leak we would make an additional work order. We didn’t intentionally ignore the requests of Ms. (Member), and it is VERY unusual to have frequent leaking. After our fifth attempt now, I believe the leaking should stop, permanently. Unfortunately, it had to do with the roofing and gutters, and now it should be fixed (hopefully!). We are SO SORRY for her inconvenience, but we never have leaks that are this difficult to fix and this was a very unusual experience for us all. In our opinion, this screen enclosure was installed perfectly, and was engineered correctly and passed all county building inspections. Some times leaks are hard to fix, especially when they travel to different spots, as water will do. We sent MANY people out to fix her issue, each time, and I’m sorry that it was hard to fix, but it was also timely to send out so many different and experienced men out to alleviate the issue. We will continue efforts if any problems recur. We will definitely be out if any issue persists, we have a standard one year installation warranty, and we do complete our work orders and service requests. Again, I can’t apologize enough for her inconvenience."
