Learn with Jenza

Lisa was our third attempt at a trainer for our Golden Retriever puppy and we were so lucky to have found her! She was so patient with both our puppy (and us) as we learned the methods of training that worked best for our family and our four-legged addition. Lisa provided a great balance of firmness and gentleness as she worked with our puppy. Because of her training, our GR became a certified therapy dog at 10 months old! We also rescued a second GR and my first call was to Lisa to help deal with a few issues as well as helping our older GR to adjust. The added bonus is that she will board them in her home when we go away on vacation, making them one of her family! Both her and Dave are so amazing with the dogs and we highly recommend Learn With Jenza to anyone in search of a trainer!

Lisa is excellent! She had been training dogs for a very long time and truly loves animals! My great dane responded wonderfully to her and Lisa made it so easy and enjoyable coming right to our home! We just got another puppy and we will be having Lisa come and train him as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her! She knows her stuff!

Lisa has an amazing way with dogs. We also have a well trained but nervous lab mix and Lisa's personality and methods totally won her over as well. With all training consistency and rational (for the dog) are key and she helped us see things from his perspective and adapt our interactions with him to get maximum benefit. She is a gentle but firm trainer and was the perfect fit for our family and style. He learned many commands and we are all much happier for the time and attention. I highly recommend that you get the training at your house. The one-on-one training worked great for us to focus on his needs and the singular focus made it happen much faster than if we had gone other routes. She is superb and I highly recommend her.

We loved working with Lisa. She is extremely knowledgeable, has years and years of experience, and is very calming with dogs. After training with Lisa, we felt like we got a very good handle on how to work with our dog on our own moving forward. As an added bonus, Lisa also boards dogs and our dog is able to stay with someone familiar when we go on vacation.

Neither one of our dogs was used to being walked, since we adopted them from a large farm up north, where they just ran wild. They are very large dogs and it was so stressful for me to take them on walks every day, to a point that I just didn't want to take them because it was such a chore. Then, I asked my Vet about getting help and he recommended Lisa. I really wasn't convinced that a trainer could fix all our issues, and I was uneasy about calling Lisa at first. After speaking with Lisa and setting up a consultation, we decided to have several in-home sessions. Let's just say, after our sessions, it's like we have two brand new well-behaved GSP's. I now look forward to taking my babies on walks, because I actually enjoy it. We highly recommend Lisa. You won't be disappointed!

Lisa is amazing!  From the minute she walked through the front door she started using her training techniques with my dog Tink and Tink has responded wonderfully.   She is patient with me and her training techniques with Tink are kind and have a calming effect on her.  I purchased the private training because Tink constantly barked in another training class to the point where the trainer could not be heard by the others in the group.  He also did not try to address her behavior.  Lisa's work with Tink has improved her barking so well that I can actually have conversations with others walking their dogs in the neighborhood whereas in the past Tink barked so much that the other dogs did not want to be around her and my neighbors thought she was annoying.  After just 6 weeks she can now walk on the leash without dragging me, sit, stay, heel, lay down, come and she no longer jumps on everyone.  My rescue from the Humane Society is now seen by everyone as the sweet dog I feel in love with when I meet her!  I have the techniques I need to manage her and she feels safe and secure!  We are so thankful we found Lisa on Angie's List.  Lisa also boards the dogs she trains in her home, so when I have to travel, I know Tink is in a loving home.

Lisa was great!  She responded to all my calls and was on time.  She spent an hour with me showing me different training techniques.

Absolutely amazing. Lisa is so great with dogs and what she taught us throughout this training session is something we will never forget. Our Rottweiler, Diesel passed to advanced training and responded to all her commands. We now have all the training tools needed to continue teaching him to be a perfectly social and respectful dog for our family of 5. We will highly recommend her to all our family and friends!

It was perfect. It's a great organization, and Lisa, the owner, is terrific. I will continue to use her services into the future, and I would recommend them for anybody with any dog of any age.

Lisa is one of the best trainers I've had for my puppies!

They were phenomenon! I used them about a month ago. They are actually expensive. The dog trainer is good with everybody, she is great with us, great with the kids, really personalises it to what we need, the way we want it.

Lisa is awesome. We have a Rot who had some behaviour issues and Lisa's really good at helping people to understand the best way to deal with animals. She makes house visits and has a variety of classes.  She offers boarding at her home as well as in her home training.

She was wonderful with both my dogs.

Their service is great and it's really personalized. They are all terrific. Sometimes it is hard to get in because they are so popular. However, you can't find anything better. I even drive about thirty to forty five minutes to their location because it is well worth it.

Lisa came out to our house to a**** the needs of our dogs and gave us some great information/training methods that are working with two of our three dogs. Our third dog unfortunately was not a good mix for our pack and was doing more harm to the two other dogs that we had and even though Lisa gave us great interventions for her but we decided it would be best to rehome her into a safer one dog family...Even though we were sad to have to rehome her we are happy that she is going to have a happy and healthy life.

Lisa came to the house and showed me how to correct some issues with my puppy. Everything she did worked!

We are only halfway through an eight-week course and our rescue dog Mallory has shown great improvement already. She was a very scared shelter dog when we adopted her, and this trainer has helped us immensely.

Their knowledge, experience, and dedication can be accessed in the beginning with a puppy lecture, puppy/basic classes, and then taken to fun filled additional training such as the AKC CGC certification, trick classes and agility. Knowing Learn with Jenza has been there for my pack has been a wonderful comfort. Home training. Since I adopted a 1 1/2 year old lab I wasn't sure how she would do in a class, so I had Lisa come to my home and give her private lessons. Then I joined her group training plus her agility class. And the only place I will board my dog is with Lisa and Dave. I have been using them for training and boarding for over a year and a half. We love the agilty and Dave even made us some equipment for home. Your can't find a better place for you dogs.
Lucy, my lab did great with home training and by the time we finished her lessons both Lisa and I felt she was ready for group.
Group train is great and you can come every Saturday or just the Saturdays you wish to attend.  Lucy getsto meet and train with different dogs which has been great for Lucy.  We still go as often as we can.
Agility class is great fun.  Lucy loves it and she love the equipment Dave built for her to use at home.
And when I go out of town I know Lucy is in good hands.  She does have a problem when she is not with me and she hates cages as she spent the first 1 1/2 years of her life in a cage.  At Lisa's she doesn't get stuck in cage.  She has over 3 acres to run in.  She loves Hobbs ( one of Lisa's dogs) so she always have a buddy to play with.  Plus all of the dogs Lisa's keeps were in her classes so Lucy is  with friends.  And Lisa sends me pictures of her everyday.
Overall you can't go wrong with Learn with Jenza.  Lisa and Dave are the very best!
