I can only compare this experience to buying a used car from a corner car lot. The operation is IMPRESSIVE. The sales pitch is IMPRESSIVE. The attitudes are friendly and helpful....until they get your payment. At that point, all promises are forgotten. I can only say "GET IT IN WRITING" and don't be afraid to be INSISTENT that promises are fulfilled before you leave the lot.. I spent 50K on a used Class A. I love the rig, but now after having waited for 6 weeks to take delivery, and two and a half months of having it in my possession, I am more than disappointed with Lazy Days, I am just plain ****** off. I've been waiting for 4 months for a missing window screen to be supplied as promised. Two calls to the service/delivery person have gone unanswered, and the lies they told me are becoming evident on a regular basis. I was told they fix what they know to be obviously wrong, and that the generator is serviced as a regular practice. WRONG! I found that the generator air filter, fuel filter, and spark plug were never touched. The generator ran okay, but when it started to run a bit rough, I found the deficiency. After finding a small leak, I went to the roof to find it. That's when I found that EVERY seal (which had been replaced, probably by the last owner) was sealed with the WRONG SEALANT. I also realized that there were two missing antenna masts that were never pointed out, though were pretty obvious to anyone who knows RV's. I'm a VERY capable and handy guy, but this was my first large RV, so I trusted....bad decision. When I asked why only 3 auto leveling jacks were touching the ground after a repair, I was told by a service person "I wouldn't lie to you, that's the way they work". The next day another service person told me he'd have it fixed (and did). I have a litany of lies and deceptive promises, starting with my sales person, and continuing to just about every department I dealt with. I won't bore anyone with those VALID issues, but I will tell you that you should DEFINITELY get an inspection done by a certified or knowledgeable RV person...it will be worth the $$$!!! I did not, and I wish I had. DO NOT TAKE DELIVERY until ALL the promised have been fulfilled!! And don't be afraid to ask for things to be fixed and PUT IN WRITING!! That's the only way they'll do repairs. Would I buy from LazyDays again? Yes...if they had what I wanted, and with total due diligence. I know they have a job to do, which is to sell and make money...I just wish they would do it in a more honorable way. Lazy Days would certainly not be my first stop when I buy again... PS...my wife just reminded me.... After putting down our deposit, and being called to pick up the rig, we were asked to make full payment. We asked to do our pre-pick up inspection first, and upon doing so, we found that the rig had been damaged during the process of being moved. I took a few weeks to have that repaired (nicely done), but had we not noticed it (it was OBVIOUS body damage), they would have had us drive off without letting us know.

Most items were accomplished satisfactorily. Two years later, however, I discovered a rotted area in the front-right quarter of the top. Another vendor (A&A RV Repair, and excellent company) stated that it appeared the original luan had never been replaced, just covered over with a new vinyl layer. Water leakage through the poorly sealed area caused rotting of a wide area of luan and wooden frames along about half of the right side of the trailer. Also, leakage had ruined two ceiling panels that had to be replaced.
Description of Work: Replaced roof of travel trailer, resealed all penetrations, replaced rotted underlayment, other miscellaneous service items.

We purchased our RV from Lazy Days in 2003 and had all our service done by them. I no longer have my RV but I saw their name on your list asking for reviews, and wanted to tell Angie's members that Lazy Days is excellent at what they do. Their prices are fair and they go out of their way to accommodate their customers. I wanted to recommend them to any RV owner or prospective owner just because I think that they are terrific.
Description of Work: The last time I was there, they repaired the generator.

Description of Work: We purchased our unit (a Fifth Wheel) - one year old - in December 2012, from Lazy Days, took it in to have a few things fixed in January 2013. They had the unit a month & still didn't make all the fixes. The one tech "couldn't find the battery" and they couldn't correct the one slide that didn't close properly. My husband mentioned to the tech involved that they (Lazy Days) actually had a video (their own video by one of their own "Master Mechanics") explaining how to fix slides but the tech still couldn't correct the issue. My husband had to call the manufacturer, talk to them, then call Lazy Days and have them call the manufacturer to learn how to correct the slide. It still doesn't close correctly; we anticipate taking it back to the manufacturer to have it fixed properly. Their Sales Dept. is great - friendly and smiling - but their Service Dept. people won't even look you in the eye when they pass you in the hallway!!! | |

The work that they did was fine, I have no complaints about that, however, their price was high. We ended up having to pay for the work, even though it was still covered under warranty (they didn’t let us know or research it, maybe because we didn’t purchase the trailer from them).
Description of Work: They did a lot of maintenance on a 19-foot travel trailer, including re-doing the roof.

Just purchased an '86 Winnebago and was interested in having mechanical workings checked out. Strictly a phone contact. Gentleman I spoke with answered all my questions politely and with friendliness. He understood from the start that it was just information I was seeking and he was very kind and helpful. Distance was a problem, so we did not go there for the check-up, but will visit it after the summer to see if we want to replace anything on the inside.

I called them and the man came out. He was very nice. He checked the furnace and it was okay, so he ordered a new thermostat and then another man came out to install it. The second man was also very nice. He installed it and that solved the problem.
Description of Work: I hired them to repair the heat in my camper.

PHONE CALLS ARE ALMOST NEVER RETURNED IF YOU ONLY LEAVE 1 MESSAGE - I HAVE FOUND I NEED TO CALL HOURLY FOR AT LEAST A DAY BEFORE THEY WILL CALL BACK - SOMETIMES IT TAKES THEM LONGER. THEN THEY DO BAD WORK SLOWLY AND BREAK MORE THAN THEY FIX. NOT SURE HOW TO CHANGE THE COMPLETION OF WORK QUESTION - THEY DID WORK - BUT DID NOT COMPLETE THE WORK. WE WILL PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE WORK BEFORE WE GO BACK THERE FOR FREE WARRANTY WORK.
Description of Work: THE WORST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. FIRST TIME THEY DID REPAIRS - THEY HAD THE RV FOR SEVERAL WEEKS - WE PICKED IT UP - THEY MESSED UP THE ELECTRICITY. THE 2ND TIME - THEY HAD IT 7 WEEKS AND STILL DIDN'T COMPLETE ALL OF THE WORK AND BROKE THE RETRACTION OF THE STAIRS. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE. TOLD IN JUNE PARTS WERE ON ORDER, TOLD THIS ALSO IN JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER - NOW IN MID OCTOBER THEY SAY THEY JUST PLACED THEM ON ORDER.
