excellent - repair good and quick turnaround

I was delighted to learn that this was not an unusual request or a complicated job. The sockets were converted, and now I like the lamp more than I did before. The work was done in a very timely manner and for a fair and reasonable price. I was greeted by a very nice lady when I dropped off the lamp and when I picked it up. We had pleasant conversations and she shared some helpful information about different light bulbs. Highly recommend.

The service provided picked up the lamp from my home, made the repairs and returned the lamp to my home. The service was prompt, efficient, and very reasonably priced.

Required custom work, so is expensive. Estimate of 6 to 8 weeks was given, but some how was a miss communication and took 12 weeks. They hire out for specialty work like this, so it's that persons time table.

They provided me with a solution and did not charge anything. Great people.

Fast, very reasonably priced, great customer service.

Shop owner requested I try different shade shape on lamp which I brought to store. I love it much better than shade that came with lamp plus saved lots of money by purchasing ready made shade.

Horrible customer service and over charged me after service was performed and it exceeded the original quote by double. I had emailed with the owner about refurbishing a chandelier my parents were giving to me. It was gold and I wanted it to be silver and cleaned up. I sent him details and 3 pictures of the chandelier. He listed everything out and quoted 225-300 just incase they ran into any issues. It was a working chandelier, so nothing needed to be done extra. We get a call 6 weeks later, go in to pick it up and the owner was not there but the mother of the owner told us it was $465!!!! I told her that's not what I was quoted and pulled up the email and asked why it was so much higher. She became so rude and acted like I was too young to understand (I'm a young business progressional and do VERY well) she continued to scream out that's the price and if you don't want to pay then leave the chandelier (which is worth 3-4k) so NO THANK YOU! I asked a legitimate question, nothing else was done then what was originally discussed, but the price doubled? She said her son would of never quoted that and implied the emails were made up. I offered to let her read the detailed emails and she refused and continued to scream. Other customers were shocked at our situation as they were standing there. At that point I asked her to call James the owner who I spoke with, she refused. She said to pay now or leave. She even threatened to dirty it up and give it back to me, if I didn't like the price. At this point I was NOT LEAVING it in their possession. In the end I payed with my credit card so i could dispute until i heard back from the owner (which i e-mailed him immediately to call me), and after i payed she continued to scream and insult me saying "young people never honor their debt"?! When i contacted the owner he did not apologize instead he claimed he spoke with me about a quote, i not once received a call from (i can prove this with phone records) and continued to talk down to me about saying he's sorry I was not happy with the Bill but is confident he provided a professional service. HA!! I don't remember a professional service discriminating against their customers, and yelling at them when they are asking an honest question?!?!

We have used this provider for at least 20 years. They have done lots of repairs and replacements on antique light fixtures and lamps. We have also purchased numerous lamps, shades, finials and other accessories from them. We have been invariably satisfied with their service and products. This latest transaction was no exception. These lanterns are large and very heavy. They have lots of ornate brass and faceted glass. The wiring was ancient. The provider replaced all the wiring, and they function perfectly. They cleaned the the lanterns where appropriate. They actually know their antiques, and understand patina and ornamentation. They know what, when and where to clean and what to leave alone.
No, they are not cheap. And, yes, they are very busy, and for good reason.

They fixed it while my husband waited. This saved us from making an extra trip to South Tampa to pick it up.

The estimate was accurate. Verilux had told me they would sell me a new lamp for 50% off, but that would still have been $75-$100, depending on shipping charges. Lamp Repair and Shade had the lamp one week and did only the needed repairs within a couple of dollars of the estimate.

They did a beautiful job. They also have a superb collection of lamp shades and lamps for sale.
