From "square one" [initial meeting] it was obvious Kent is a professional in every sense of the word [FYI: I'm a procurement professional; have an MBA; been in the field for over 25 years....I believe I have a solid business perspective]. Beyond the business side and perhaps more importantly, Kent has an artist's critical eye. He demonstrated time and time again a willingness to listen and engage in the free exchange of ideas. He was always able to quickly grasp the client's perspective and offer a viable concept/resolution. Lastly and most importantly, Kent is a perfectionist and has a dogged, relentlessness to "get it right" for the client perspective. He was never concerned about time or day of the week....during the installation he worked the weekend and far beyond the normal business day just to ensure that the client was minimally inconvenienced. There were a few unanticipated design changes due to customer preference, and there was always an unhesitating willingness to please and "get it right" for the customer. He has even come back a couple of times at no additional charge to repair and modify a cabinet after a defective granite countertop section had to be replaced [the countertop was not bought from/installed by Kent's company]. In sum, I feel as though we struck the lottery of cabinet shop companies when we hired Kent. I thoroughly bid this job and Kent was by far the best value - real oak with 3/4" plywood framing....no laminate or particle board. This was a gift to my elderly mother and she is still in a state of disbelief at her new beautifully remodeled kitchen. Thank you Kent!!!
Once he brought the window seat in, I was afraid it was going to be too big, but Kent slid it right in between the two bookcases for a perfect fit. It actually looks like the bookcases and the window seat was built as one single unit. We happily paid him the $380 for his custom work. We now have a great window seat with storage inside and we couldn't be happier with it.
