JVA assisted us with a balcony repair. Most of the job was done well but we continued to have an area that leaked in the corner. The owner told us many times that the company was not going away and would be responsive if there were any issues. The issue always existed since day 1 and continued). The company came out a couple of times to help resolve but each time we called to report the issue, the blame was placed on us (i.e., the leaves on the balcony are causing the leak, you need an awning to block the water). They tried a couple of things but nothing worked. Three years later, we continue to battle this issue. We would receive so much grief when we called that the whole experience became tainted and eventually our calls went unanswered. Just to be clear, this issue did not start 3/6 months after the job. It leaked from Day one and is still an issue.

Dealing with various contractors over the last 25 years or so, she is the only one I would recommend to friends and family. Workers always on time, never had issue contacting her. She also suggested design issues, some of which we used.

Janet, the owner, was educated as an architect in Colombia, so she is bilingual and has extensive experience with commercial and residential properties.  Furthermore, she does great work, pays close attention to detail, and charges very competitive rates.  She is very personable, too.  It has been a pleasure getting to know her during the various jobs that she has done for us over the years.
