We just had front and back yard landscaped and I am so pleased. I can’t stop looking at how pretty it all is now! Donell provided designs very quickly and gave us just what we wanted - low maintenance but lots of flowering shrubs and a tree, even a butterfly garden! All plants look very healthy. Donell and her crew were very punctual and clean-up was great. I highly recommend Johns Palms!

First off, let me start by saying choosing Johns Palms was simply a home run. For those who may own a home as a rental or second home from afar will greatly appreciate what Donell brings to the table. After meeting with a handful of potential landscaping personnel, it was clearly apparent Donell was the right choice for the job. In my case, she was the last of businesses I was meeting and it turned out I saved the best for last. Needing my backyard overhauled to a more low maintenanced property, she provided suggestions that were long term solutions & not simply cheap fixes that would inevitably cost more money and work to maintain down the road. Having not much knowledge on specific plants and how they thrive, she even took the time to provide me with a list of plant life that would fit my needs in what I was trying to accomplish with my backyard. While meeting with Donell, she even went out of her way to contact another businessman specializing in irrigation as I needed that addressed as well. Aside from her ideas & suggestions, what really left an impression was how good she was at keeping a dialog and maintaining communication. Being from out of state and trying to coordinate the project with many questions along the way, she always was prompt to respond via email, text or phone. It’s quite comforting to just trust someone to complete a job without any worries. The job was completed exactly how I envisioned it. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Johns Palms for any landscaping needs & would certainly hire Donell again in the future. Thanks for making this stress-free!

Donnell was WONDERFUL! Showed up precisely when she said she would and gave me a very fair estimate. The difference between John's Palms and all of the others I interviewed, was that Donnell was honest with me, didn't try to oversell and worked within my budget. She explained that summers in FL are the worst time to plant sod because of the rain and humidity. Despite her angst, she did so to my encouragement (I needed the HOA off my back). She provided me with expert advice and also gave me a bag of fungicide with specific instructions so the sod won't die. My front yard, albeit small, took her about 2 months to finally get everything together. My fault because of the spider ferns and pothos I planted a decade before. Once all the roots were tilled out, we needed to make sure how much of the root system was left from the weeds before the new plants were installed. I was at work when Donnell and her team finished the job. When I pulled up to the driveway after work, my eyes swelled up with tears because I was so happy with the job they did. John's Palms comes highly recommended!

Donell and her crew showed up on time and ready to work. They quickly and carefully installed the plants I had ordered in my flower bed. Price was competitive with other landscaping companies. Job was done to my satisfaction and couldn't have been happier with the results.

They were able to plant my garden in one afternoon and it was exactly like the sketch she provided. It was impeccable. I was not home the afternoon they did the installation so it was a wonderful surprise when I pulled in later and it was all done. She and her crew did an outstanding job and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Thank you Donell.

Donell always makes sure the job is done right, and has good ideas for pulling things together. She comes out several times a year for general yard upkeep at my home, and has previously created new beds, replaced trees and sod, added irrigation lines and replaced landscape lighting for me.

Donnel was quick to come by our home on a Saturday afternoon and walk around the backyard and listen to our "vision". She sent us a rough drawing with different plants and an estimate that evening. She scheduled a date three weeks later, during the next couple weeks she came out twice and killed a lot of the old shrubs and grass with Round-Up. The day her team was scheduled they arrived on time and went to work. By mid-afternoon, the backyard looked just as we imagined, they even put down sod and the new mulch was great. The only other part we wish we would have asked for was a weed barrier - now we spend our evenings pulling weeds and spraying with Round-Up, being careful around the new plants. We will hire her company again for future projects.

Donelle was awesome! Quick, easy and great eye for what looks good. She did an awesome job so quickly on creating a concept of how the yard should look. She literally had a PDF of what the basic layout would be and several types of plants that would give the landscape a beautiful look. She even used existing plants to beef up an area that was dismal. It was a quick and easy service, that will be a foundation for what our future lawn will look like.

Donell showed up on schedule and gave me a great estimate (much lower then another landscaper). She and her crew arrived for the work a little early and did a great job. Donell is very easy to work with and gave great advise without trying to upsell. I highly recommend her for your landscaping project.

We have been an extremely satisfied customer of Johns Palms Landscaping for over 10 years at 3 different homes. During that time we have collaboratively worked with Donell to plan, design and install a variety of creative landscaping solutions that resulted in our home looking absolutely beautiful on the outside. We recently moved into a new home and decided to replace all of the current landscaping with something new. We called Donell to help us develop a new design and plan. We explained our basic vision of what we wanted to accomplish. Beginning with a clean sheet of paper, Donell sketched out a landscape design. It was perfect. She is an expert at visualizing an end result from the outset. We were slow in choosing the palm trees, plants and flowers and the locations for each. We wanted to make sure that everything would work together and look great. To begin, we had every plant, bush, one large tree, and all of the mulch ripped out and discarded. The new palm trees, shrubs and palm trees were carefully placed according to plan. Custom sod work and a fresh bed of mulch completed the landscaping work in the front of our house. We love the look and have already received a few unsolicited compliments from our neighbors. The final phase of our landscaping work will take place in the back of our home. The design is less complicated than the front and will be completed in a few weeks, hopefully in cooler weather. We remain an extremely satisfied customer of Johns Palms Landscaping and would highly recommend this outstanding company to everyone. I was actually shocked to see so many great reviews were listed after we worked with them. The service from this company was completely awful when it came to installing our drainage lines. On the day of installation, I received an email that the team scheduled to come install the drains was MIA (first warning sign). When they did show up the next day they called and said they cut through a cable line in the ground. When the cable company came out to fix it they told us we'd be charged because it was clearly marked. When we talked to the company, they denied responsibility and told us this happens often when they install drains. Not only that, they broke one of our sprinkler heads and tore up our lawn from where they dug the drains. It got even worse when it finally rained a few days later and the drains weren't working. Water was coming out from the gutters and creating a lake in our yard worse than when we just had the above-ground gutters. When my wife called the company to complain they tried to blame me, saying that I signed off on it. To be clear, I never signed off on a giant pool in my yard and was under the impression these people knew what they were doing. They were clear what I wanted: for the water to be pushed away from the house and out into the street. To blame the customer is extremely unprofessional and shady. We got a second opinion from another company and they came out to look at the damage. In the end they said they installed the drains completely wrong. They should have created a 45 degree slop away from the house for the water to move down the drains, which they didn't. They also installed the end spouts wrong and were too close to the house. Now we have to have another company come in and replace all the damage they've done to our yard, sprinkler and essentially replace the work they did, costing us double. DO NOT hire these people for drainage work. They have no idea what they're doing. Also, not once did they apologize for anything and they kept insisting everything was fine, which it clearly wasn't.

Of course I understand that, and we tried to satisfy this customer's complaints, and they simply requested refunds or money back or refused our attempts to come back to rectify any problems. Johns Palms is a company that believes in customer service, and we make every effort to satisfy every complaint, and in this case, we were unable to, despite our attempts. I'm not happy about their experience, either."

Owner Donell Harding and her team arrived promptly and completed the work in several hours. They had to contend with house painters who were on site at the same time. All pruned plant litter was removed from our property. A particularly difficult problem with the jasmine covering our septic drainage field was resolved after a test area was sprayed several weeks earlier, using herbicide that killed all but the jasmine.
