Real Estate Service
Many problems with Jeff Conover. First, we noticed that there were several stains throughout the downstairs carpet. He assured us it would be professionally cleaned prior to move-in. It wasn't, professionally or otherwise. Also, it was strange that he did not have a paper version of the lease, only an electronic version on his tablet-style computer. He indicated that we could read the lease on the computer and that it was a basic, standard lease for 12 months. He was lying. It was not a basic, standard lease. In fine print, it had a clause that would allow the landlord to: 1. Show the house at any time to potential buyers. 2. Terminate the lease at any time with 2 month advance notice. We had spent over $1,000 on mover fees, and my wife was 2 months away from giving birth. We had every intention on staying for at least 12 months, and would never had signed the lease had we known of this clause. Very deceitful person, and we are still upset.
