JB Construction Services Inc

I signed a contract with JB Construction in January of 2009 for a once-in-a-lifetime home renovation estimated to take 7 months. Work began in March of 2009. After the initial few months, the project began to just drag on and on ? sometimes with weeks going by with no significant work being done. Two years later, the project is not finished and JB has abandoned us completely. The owner, Joseph T. Buscia, does not respond to phone calls, voice mail messages or certified letters. We have paid him every draw on schedule, with only the final payment (that would have been due at the end of the project) remaining. The project involves a lot of custom woodwork, yet when the carpenter abruptly quit and moved away after doing only a small portion of what was needed, Mr. Buscia waited a few weeks to tell us ? and never brought a new carpenter into the effort. The air conditioning subcontractor has had our compressor ready to go for months, but never got the call from JB to come and install it. Without the A/C installed, electricity to the house cannot be turned on. With no electricity to the house, the outside motion-sensitive lights on the corners of the roof (which were installed due to security concerns after a break-in occurred ) are useless. It?s just been one unexplainable disappointment after another. We are now faced with trying to find somebody else to finish the job at our expense. It's been a total nightmare.
