IWS Shutters & Blinds

Our first call to the store was never returned. We went to the store in person and they apologized and seemed eager to make it up to us. Someone came out to measure and then no follow up. I called and was told a couple of people were out sick, but was assured I’d get a call back in a day. No call again. I emailed them to say I did not find the lack of responsiveness acceptable and would send my business elsewhere. But I got a response apologizing and asking for another chance. I replied and, yet again, no one ever responded. So we wasted several weeks and never got anything installed. Very disappointing.

Got a great, complete estimate from Mike. He promised delivery in 2-3 weeks and that's when they came. The installers were very careful and complete. We now have a complete set of plantation shutters in our home. I hope to give them more business.

Very satisfied overall. Price was fair, installers did a great job. They were very neat and cleaned the area upon installation.

Wonderfully! Arnie set up the time and was very punctual. They gave us great service even though is was a very small job - 10 replacement slats. All the people we dealt with were very nice.

Ten were fine. Two needed replacing. They left the initial ones and have ordered new ones at no cost to me.

We are very happy with our shutters. We ordered them for 5 tall windows with arches, as well as a large picture window, a bathroom window, and a window in the garage. They are absolutely beautiful, and really add to the appearance of our home. Steven was great to work with, and the installation was smooth and faster than expected.

Steve came to our house to do an estimate. After going through multiple books of roller blind samples, it turned out that if the window is tall, there were only 3 options. We wanted it done a certain way, which he didn't like and kept shaking his head, telling us his opinion. We finally agreed on the blinds and installation and were told we would have a quote the next day. Two days passed, so I called Steve, receiving a voicemail that he was on vacation and would return 10 days later. I finally got a quote, which was ~$2600 for 3 large panels of no-brand blinds. I sent emails asking more questions, which were not answered promptly. In the end, we wasted 2 weeks. We finally went with Budget Blinds and got Hunter-Douglas blinds for the same price. Additionally, they had 25 options rather than 3 for the size we needed.

Great overall experience. From the initial sales conversation to the quote to the installation. Great all around service and product!

The quality of the shutters was first class. The installers were courteous, knowledgeable, and swift. They kept to promised delivery dates and installation times. The prices were fair. Highly recommended.

I visited their showroom to shop their shutters. I explained to Scott Conforti, one of the owners, that my bathroom shutters were worn out and would not stay open. Then I was truly amazed that Scott asked me if the shutters had an adjusting screw. I was unaware of the built in adjuster to control the tension of the shutters. I let him know that I did not know who the manufacturer of the shutters was, since they were installed when the house was built. He told me to check for the adjusting screw and showed me where it was most likely found. I informed him that I had several slats of the shutter that had broken away from the control rod. He asked me to call Steven, one of the other owners, to come to my house to see it they could be repaired. I found the adjuster and did as Scot instructed and fixed the tension of the shutters. I called Steven to let him know that I had fixed the problem and I only had one series of flats that were broken, feeling the task was too small for their effort. Steven insisted on coming to see for himself. He determined that they could fix the slats and I would not have to purchase new shutters. A few days later, as promised repairmen from IWS came to my house and within minutes fixed the damaged shutters. Scott and Steven could have kept silent about the adjusting screws and sold me new shutters and I would not have been the wiser. It is because of their honesty and professionalism, I am recommending them for the "Happiness Page Award". I most certainly will deal with them in the future for my window shutter and blind needs.

They had a great selection of shutters and blinds. All of their products are made locally. Once we decided on what we wanted they had them installed in less than a month. We originally received about four estimates, they were not the cheapest but their samples seemed of higher quality. They were professional, on time and seemed knowledgable.

Mike Conforti was awesome! I can't say enough great things about him and the company. We just moved into a new house and we had most of our windows redone with the shutters. Mike and his crew were great and my house looks amazing!

We visited their office to see their operation and met with owners, Steven Conforti and Scot Conforti. They took the time to answer all of our questions, made suggestions and showed us product samples. They visited our home to make sure our selections met our needs, took measurements and provided an estimate. We were impressed when they sold us one less shutter than we originally wanted. They made a recommendation that the window would look better without a shutter and we agreed. They were patient, informative and a pleasure to work with. Donnie, the installer, did an exceptional job with the installation and had a great attitude. We would not hesitate to recommend International Wood Shutters to family and friends.

IWS Shutters was referred to us by a friend. Michael Conforti responded quickly to my call and came out on time for scheduled appointment. Took measurements and provided a quote. Came back for a second visit so my wife could review styles and color. He provided some helpful recommendations that reduced cost and improved overall look on porch. We signed contract and was advised product would be delivered and installed within two weeks.Product was delivered and installed as promised. Installers very professional. Very happy with overall experience. Would recommend them highly.

Order came in but was wrong size. Rush order placed and replacements installed the next week. Happy with the quality of the product and the overall installation. Will use again for blinds in bedroom

I was happy with the price as they were the cheapest by at least 2000.
They did all the windows and sliders in about 4 hours and cleaned up after themselves.
They did a good, quality job.
The only reason for the b and c that I gave them is that they were originally supposed to do the work on 1-14 but one of their installers was sick that day and they had to cancel. Understandable, but they should of gone out of their way to rescedule as soon to the original day as possible.
But overall I was happy with them and probably will have them come back eventually and do 3 remaining windows that I did not have them do the first time.

Our experience was very pleasant from receiving an estimate and until the product was installed. The estimate was very fair and competitive. I was especially happy that the shutters were manufactured locally so I didn't have to wait several weeks as with several other companies. The timeframe that we were promised delivery and installation was realistic and was met by the company. (approximately 2 weeks) The installation was done by a very competent representative. Overall we were very very pleased with our experience with this company and will reccommend them to others.

I actually got the referrel from my friend and was able to see the quality of work before deciding on this company. She is very particular when it comes to all aspects of a job, as am I. We were both thrilled with the price, quality, professionalism and punctuality. The product came in a week later than estimated (shipments only come on Wednesdays) but It was a holiday week so it was not a big deal. installation was smooth and flawless. I had one room done and getting ready to call for another room. My friend did the same thing. She had one room done and was so excited she ended up doing the entire home, including her glass sliders. Super job!

I got several bids for this project and theirs was the least expensive by a HUGE margin. Of course, this is a red flag for me. However, they did the shutters at my neighbor's house, so I was able to see them in person. Composite is not quite as nice as wood when you touch it, but really, how often are you going to pet your shutters? The price difference between wood and composite was not as large as I expected, and these windows get a lot of direct sunlight, so I thought the composite would hold up better (less warping). Design was very straightforward. Installation went well. The only downside is that they don't patch or paint any holes left from prior window coverings. This was a minor issue for most windows, but a bigger issue for the one door that got a shutter on it. I still haven't dealt with the little holes left behind from the old shade. These shutters were installed in May of 2008 and so far have held up well. They are very large front windows, so opening and closing the shutters (to get to the windows) requires some care. It will be interesting to see how they hold up under more intense use as we enter the "windows open" season.

COMPANY ADVERTISED 2-3 WEEK DELIVERY BUT IT TOOK 6-7 WEEKS IN GET INSTALLED
