From speaking to Michelle to schedule the service call, to having Doug show up on time, with all of the necessary parts (and cat treats) onboard, it worked out better than I had hoped for. Michelle was extremely professional, having someone available the same day, calling to let me know he was on his way......Doug showed up, took one look at my cat and immediately reached back into his truck and pulled out some treats for her. He was professional and friendly, explained everything he was seeing, replaced the necessary parts and I now have a working hot water heater. Couldn't be happier!

Customer Service is phenomenal. Office Mgr.,Michelle gets the job done. My appt. was scheduled prompt. Plumber arrived exactly on time. Doug knew exactly what to do and took care of it. He was quick, it was obivious he really knows and cares about what he is doing. He came in "a plumber" and left "our friend". You can only be as strong as your weakest link. They don't seem to have one. Start to finish. Thanks Michelle.

The technician removed and replaced the water heater, a job that was complicated with a clogged drain.  The new heater was installed  using soldered connections. Doug installed insulation on exposed pipes, and cleaned up after the job.
We are very happy with Independent.

The company did perform the service requested but their pricing is extremely high. $132 for labor for 2 hours to mostly just stand around and wait for the system to flush, and a $68 trip charge.But if you want an estimate for work that is free. Seems backwards to me.

I only have one bathroom and the toilet had been stopped up since about midday on a Saturday. I used an auger on it about 6 times and got no relief. About noon on Monday, I noticed that when I ran my sink, it bubbled in the toilet and backed up in the bathtub. I called Independent and as late as it was on Monday, Michelle said she could have Doug out on Tuesday, working me in, and we would shoot for noon. Michelle called a little before 10 and said Doug was on his way. I called the office to thank Michelle for such terrific service. They're great.

Appointment was at 7:30 this morning.  He arrived on the minute in my driveway.  Took him 45 min. (ask for Doug).  How could anyone be more pleasant at 7:30 in the morning.  Knew exactly what to do.  I had a disposal to replace it.  His look told me it wasn't a good one.  I asked him, thank goodness they had a better one on the truck and it was only $6 more.  This is my new neighborhood plumber.  You don't find people who do this kind of work, on a schedule, and don't leave a mess behind.  I'd recommend them to anyone.  From making my appointment ... and requesting an "estimate" ... or a range of cost ... this was the only co to give that info.

I had purchased a toilet and was looking for someone to do the installation. I received a couple quotes in the $100 range but the work could not be done in a timely fashion. As I was having the tile cleaned the following day, I was hoping to fiind someone who could come out same day. The office staff was extremely helpful when I called, indicating they could have someone out to the house within the hour and estimated the job at approximately 45 minutes of labor, with a cost estimate in the $110 range with parts. Actual time was double that, raising the charge to $155. I was part of the problem as I tried to learn some plumbing basics by hovering and asking a number of questions. If I had let the man do his work, it would have been quicker. Even so, the price was lower than other big company quotes on Angie's List by as much as $100. He arrived promptly and did a thorough and very good installation. I would definitely use again.

Kevin, who is the owner of the company came by earlier than was promised (which was very welcome) and diagnosed that we needed a new water heater, which was still under warranty.  After I called Whirlpool and was instructed on how to get a new one, Kevin took out the old water heater, and accompanied me to Lowe's to get a new one, which he delivered to my house and installed.  He answered all of my questions and was totally professional throughout.  He is a third generation plumber, and knows his work very well.  Everything was taken care of in an hour and a half.  I would definitely use him again.

They quoted me the flat-rate price up front and never deviated from the quote.

They even told me that if I needed new flanges, it would be $28 each, installed.  I needed two, and they installed them quickly and cleanly.

The plumber who performed the installation un-boxed each toilet, assembled each perfectly, installed, tested and leveled each.

Went without a hitch, and even when he needed another flange that wasn't on the truck, he went to the shop and back, no extra charge, in about 45 minutes and completed the installations.

Overall, a clean, professional, and PERFECT experience. 

Independent will be my plumbers from now on...no questions asked.  The undercut the competition's pricing by 200-300% and were superb at every level.

They were excellent.  They were on time.  Their price was good.

I have always used them and they did a great job. They are always on time and we usually get the same person every time but I don't know his name. They are friendly and I think they are reasonable but I have nothing to compare it to because I won't use anybody else. They are pleasant on the phone and usually get out on the same day if we have a problem. I always have and always use him in the future.

They were very good - a little delayed getting to the work site but they fixed everything as needed. The price was fair and quality was great. They do not provide free estimates.

Called for service in the morning. Plumber scheduled same day. Given two hour window. Called before arriving. Found leak with disposal connection. Cleaned up area. Company plumber said they appreciate my business and hope I call again. Can't ask for anything more from a service company.

First time using Independent Plumbing. Called them based on recommendation of another Angie's List member. Prompt. Clean. Polite plumbers. Highly recommend them. Will use again.
