They are great and we are really really happy with all the workmen. They did the cabinet trim, countertops and they did a really really nice job, it was great. Home Depot told us that he need to be prepared to build for our kitchen remodeling but it went extremely well. They use the total pro in installers, they also contracted the plumbers that did all the re-install when they have everything in, the carpenters were specially total pro and absolutely they did a beautiful job. They were on time and they did a good work. The contractors are very professionals, they were very specific about what they are gonna do and how they gonna do specially the carpenters, plus the ease up because our contact was really with the Home Depot that's why we did it that way. My wife and I came in and talked to them, gets the whole layout and tell what exactly we want, how we wanted and when we wanted. They're going to manage everything so if we had a problem I'm not going to argue with anyone else, its just a phone call and they will take care of it for me. You only do with one people, only Home Depot. I'm just really impressed with their professionalism. They have the expertise, they were really experienced, you could tell they knew what exactly what they are doing and everything was perfect. People will walk in and they will say, oh wow! what a beautiful kitchen.

The door that I ordered would not fit so the store ordered a second one and charged me again, without refunding or crediting the first door purchased and then ordered a third door and charged me a third time. The contractor failed to obtain a permit to install the door so I filed a complaint and the door was finally installed three months later.

Home Depot insulted my intelligence. They were one of the highest estimates. I think we ran into the salesman once before, selling cars. He would emphasize things that weren't at all important, and he would tell you things you already knew. I told the manager at the Home Depot store the roofing department was terrible. The manager said they contract the roofing department out. He said he used a local handyman to install the roof on his own home. I was very disappointed in Home Depot.

They actually have a pretty large tool rental department, where I have to pay a small deposit and then a fee to be able to use it for a twenty four hour period. The selection and quality of the tools are good, but the down side is that the tools are not always in good condition. They may be doing maintenance on them, but most of the time, someone might rent one and might break it. Unless I know a lot about the equipment when I go to check it out, I may not notice that it has been broken by the previous user until I take it home and try to use it. Then I will have to take it back and get another one. They will show me how to use it if I ask them, but they don't usually give me the instructions, they assume that because I am coming to rent the equipment, I already know how to use it. That was the only downside. The price is quite reasonable, and it is based on the type of equipment I rent. For the pressure sprayer, it cost us $25 down payment, and $50 for the twenty four hour rental. If we brought it back within twenty four hours, we would get our deposit back, and if it is over the twenty four hour period, I would have to pay for a second twenty four hour rental. They are not super strict about it, like if I am a couple of minutes late or something. I remember thinking that it was a little bit pricey, but after we used the product, it was evident that it was of a quality that was worth the price we paid to rent it, considering how much it would cost to buy, and how well it worked. It was a good quality piece of equipment, it worked really well, and we had no trouble with it. Their responsiveness is very good, they have a separate service counter, but it is not always staffed, they may be busy somewhere else if there are no customers, they just don't stand around the whole time. But once I get someone to respond, they are immediately there and helpful and answer any questions about the equipment . They are very professional, have good knowledge about the equipment and will give me all the information about all the equipment that they have.
Description of Work: We rented a pressure sprayer for twenty four hours from Home Depot. We rented it to clean our house, spray the sidewalks and everything down, because in Tampa the moisture in the air tends to grow mildew on every surface, even on the sidewalks.

It would cost me $10000, more than Sarasota Kitchen and Bath. We also had to pay a hundred percent upfront; it also had to be paid either in cash or check. We were shocked; we thought it would be our base line, the cheapest of the cheap. Then we went to Sarasota Kitchen and Bath, and they custom the cabinet, so they are a higher quality, and they were also $10000 less. They did not do any work, but it would cost us a $100 to have some one come out, to measure. They were not very responsive. I thought that it was horrible that we went through the whole process, and then they said to us that we would have to pay $30000, upfront before we could feed in the order. No one does that, and then they said cash or check, we have no recourse if they do a lousy job.

My husband and I recently bought a house and we've been going to Home Depot for just about everything we need, from nails and screws to paint and carpet. One day while my parents and I were there picking up more painting supplies, we made our way over to the flooring department to pick out carpet for my back bedrooms. They had a display up promoting and quot;72 hour installationand quot;, so I picked the least ugly carpet from that selection, because the 72 hours (from payment, obviously) would have given us 2 extra days for it to and quot;setand quot; before our furniture was delivered. We talked to the salesman, picked out the padding and paid for the estimate. I made sure, multiple times, to tell Scott that I needed the carpet installed no later than X-day and he said that he'd make a note of it in the system, and with the 72 hour installation, he'd process our payment first so that everything would go smoothly. The lady came and did the estimate, barely said two words, had me sign that she'd been there and left. The following day, the woman called to take my payment at 7:15pm. When she took my payment she told me it would be 5-7 business days for the installation. I explained to her that I paid for carpet that advertised 72 hour installation and that I needed the carpet installed within that time frame, otherwise I would have to pay extra for furniture moving by the installers. She said she'd make a note of that. Because she called so late in the evening, they weren't able to process my payment until the following day, which put my 72 hours into Thanksgiving day. Home Depot said that the earliest they *might* be able to schedule me for was Saturday, the day AFTER my furniture was scheduled to arrive. I explained about the carpet I picked and the situation and she put me on and quot;holdand quot; (setting the phone down, but not placing me on hold, so I could hear every single word she was saying) and called the installers. She explained to them the situation and they said because Scott (the original salesman) didn't code it for 72 hours, they didn't treat it as such, and now *maybe* Saturday was the only time they could fit me in. Home Depot offered to pay the cost of the furniture moving, because I did make every effort to not have furniture there, and I paid for a specific service that I was no longer receiving. The installers called to schedule the day and and quot;confirmedand quot; that there wouldn't be any furniture. After explaining to her and her calling Home Depot to confirm, she was and quot;making a noteand quot; about the situation with the furniture. She called me three separate times during the week to confirm, and each time, she had to and quot;make a noteand quot; regarding the furniture situation. Installation day comes and the installer shows up with his wife, who can't be more than 5'0and quot; and petite as can be. He looks at his work order and asks to be shown the bedrooms. When he walked into the master bedroom, he saw the bed, looked at his work order and told me there wasn't to be any furniture in the room. I explained the entire situation to him and he has to call his supervisor to explain everything. His supervisor gets on the phone with me and says the installer cannot, by law, remove the bed, but if I didn't want to move the bed myself, I could hire someone to come in and move it, but I would have to reschedule the installation of the carpet. I then had to call Home Depot, explain the entire situation to them (again) and have them tell me there was nothing they could do about it. I spoke with a manager, and he proceeded to tell me, and quot;I'm sorry you misunderstood what was told to you, but there's nothing we can do.and quot; So, I got a refund and went with another company that took 3 days total from estimate to installation. Needless to say, I will no longer be giving my business to Home Depot, for any home repairs/renovations.

HOME DEPOT Don't use them for a kitchen. It took them 14 months to do the job. The granite company was awful, it took months to replace it. They do shottie work. The granite was cracked, they had to replace it, they didn't seal it right. They replaced it 3 times, and Home Depot didn't handle it right, the one we had to keep has a crack still. It took them 14 months to do a 2 month job. The cabinets were gorgeous. The installer wouldn't show up, and we had to keep calling him. We started October 9, 2010, and finished on February of 2011. I won't go to Home Depot anymore. The district manager from Home Depot, told us we had to keep the cracked granite.

I had several estimates but I decided to go for a better window at a higher price. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I bought windows from Home Depot and they had a subcontractor install them.
It was an ongoing project which was done both in January and February. There was a handyman who came out to cleanup underneath the granite countertops because there was a gap. They directly contract people to get the work done. They cleaned up well. The electrical work wasn’t done right and so they called an electrician to fix it. The electrician put the correct boxes and also added lights under our cabinets. The cabinet doors were installed nicely and so were the handles. That went very smoothly. The cabinets were fine. We can’t really criticize Home Depot guys because they pretty much put it back the way it was, which wasn’t correct, but it wasn’t their fault. Their price was less than a decorator and so that was fine. There was a woman over there that worked with me and was responsive.
Description of Work: Home Depot helped us with some general remodeling work in January and February. They installed some things and also contracted others to have them installed. We had to take down a wall and they did the drywall work. They took out the cabinets and changed it to white. They had granite people do the granite countertops. They did electrical work too.

Home Depot of all the remodeling companies I searched and received estimates, seemed to be the only company that was willing to give us the extra I needed in our kitchen in addition to the original builder-grade layout. Our hats off to Eva(consultant), who started us off. Major applaud to JM, (design professional) that listened to my ideas and needs while never pushing for extra I didn't need. To Chuck, (install expediter), as busy as he is, still had time on occasion to talk and give opinions on timing of flooring, appliance install, etc., with the kitchen cabinet install. A huge stadium ovation for Jim and John (cabinet installation); their attention to detail amazed me. They kept me constantly informed and involved on all aspects of the job. To George (plumber), did an amazing job. The granite professionals were prompt and looks beautiful. While not everything went perfect, those situations were very quickly taken care of! Couldn't have asked for more! Thank you everyone!
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel. I chose Kraftmaid. There are other cabinet companies to choose from at Home Depot. While my cabinets are gorgeous from Kraftmaid, I wonder now if some of the few problems I had with Kraftmaid would have been the same with another brand. In hindsight, it was mentioned on a popular remodeling show to remember, "you ARE running a marathon here when remodeling, NOT a 50 yard dash!" These words kept me going with patience and ease.

After eleven days, still no tub at Home Depot. The store keeps saying it will be here the next day, but can't tell us where the tub actually is. After getting "customer no service" from the manager at the store, we called the customer support number, they were worse still. As it is our job is stalled because of Home Depot's inability to operate professionally.
