She helped me from the first step all the way through completion
Due to her professionalism and knowledge I painted my entire house with complete satisfaction
The lady came and did the estimate, barely said two words, had me sign that she'd been there and left. The following day, the woman called to take my payment at 7:15pm. When she took my payment she told me it would be 5-7 business days for the installation. I explained to her that I paid for carpet that advertised 72 hour installation and that I needed the carpet installed within that time frame, otherwise I would have to pay extra for furniture moving by the installers. She said she'd make a note of that.
Because she called so late in the evening, they weren't able to process my payment until the following day, which put my 72 hours into Thanksgiving day. Home Depot said that the earliest they *might* be able to schedule me for was Saturday, the day AFTER my furniture was scheduled to arrive. I explained about the carpet I picked and the situation and she put me on and quot;holdand quot; (setting the phone down, but not placing me on hold, so I could hear every single word she was saying) and called the installers. She explained to them the situation and they said because Scott (the original salesman) didn't code it for 72 hours, they didn't treat it as such, and now *maybe* Saturday was the only time they could fit me in.
Home Depot offered to pay the cost of the furniture moving, because I did make every effort to not have furniture there, and I paid for a specific service that I was no longer receiving. The installers called to schedule the day and and quot;confirmedand quot; that there wouldn't be any furniture. After explaining to her and her calling Home Depot to confirm, she was and quot;making a noteand quot; about the situation with the furniture. She called me three separate times during the week to confirm, and each time, she had to and quot;make a noteand quot; regarding the furniture situation.
Installation day comes and the installer shows up with his wife, who can't be more than 5'0and quot; and petite as can be. He looks at his work order and asks to be shown the bedrooms. When he walked into the master bedroom, he saw the bed, looked at his work order and told me there wasn't to be any furniture in the room. I explained the entire situation to him and he has to call his supervisor to explain everything. His supervisor gets on the phone with me and says the installer cannot, by law, remove the bed, but if I didn't want to move the bed myself, I could hire someone to come in and move it, but I would have to reschedule the installation of the carpet.
I then had to call Home Depot, explain the entire situation to them (again) and have them tell me there was nothing they could do about it. I spoke with a manager, and he proceeded to tell me, and quot;I'm sorry you misunderstood what was told to you, but there's nothing we can do.and quot; So, I got a refund and went with another company that took 3 days total from estimate to installation.
Needless to say, I will no longer be giving my business to Home Depot, for any home repairs/renovations.
Don't use them for a kitchen.
It took them 14 months to do the job.
The granite company was awful, it took months to replace it.
They do shottie work.
The granite was cracked, they had to replace it, they didn't seal it right.
They replaced it 3 times, and Home Depot didn't handle it right, the one we had to keep has a crack still.
It took them 14 months to do a 2 month job.
The cabinets were gorgeous.
The installer wouldn't show up, and we had to keep calling him.
We started October 9, 2010, and finished on February of 2011.
I won't go to Home Depot anymore.
The district manager from Home Depot, told us we had to keep the cracked granite.
