Excellent. This company was prompt, caring and fixed a leak in my roof before any damage occurred. There should be more companies like this one in Florida.

Bought a deal on Angie's List for $299 for 8 hrs of work. I asked the owner Mike for his advice on what to order and he suggested a solid core door which was excellent advice.  I did have a bit of trouble scheduling a project time but I understand he had a wedding and honeymoon going on. The owner, Mike, confirmed by text the night before what time to expect them. His worker, David, showed up 20 minutes early ready to go. Even though I had ordered a track system he was unfamiliar with rather than a preassembled unit, he jumped right on it. He was pleasant, courteous and worked steady throughout the day. Once he had the door installed he put up all the drywall I had available around it. Was not expecting him to get that far! Was extremely pleased with his expertise and am definitely planning on using them for my future remodels and will try to schedule around David's availability.

Mike had two weeks heads-up before this job was to begin and, if he was going to use subs, that should have been plenty
of time to line them up.
First, I will say that Mike did excellent drywall work.
The work was to take place 4/27 through 5/1 (a Monday through Friday - which I took off of work to be present). He would come over late in the evening, work for a few hour, then leave. On Thursday of that week, I asked him when the roofer was going to arrive. His response was "Well, I have been having a hard time getting any roofers to respond". He hadn't arranged a sub.
Work continued into the following week and still no roofer. I gave him an updated, drop-dead deadline of COB on Thursday 5/7 and he told me the stucco sub would be here on that day. On the day before that, I called him to ask him if he was 100% sure that the stucco sub would be there Thursday. His response was "I thought you said Friday"! He could not arrange a stucco sub. This was a deadline that had been discussed several times as we were moving in on Friday and would have indoor pets on the property after that.
No roofer.  No stucco work.  He put the cart before the horse!  It does not make since to do drywall ceiling and wall work, to repair water damage, before roof and stucco crack water ingress has been repaired.
Additionally, I have asked for his advertised ?10% Angie?s List discount? several times and he has not responded
with an invoice indicating it.  To avoid litigation, I have paid his invoice.
Bottom line? didn?t perform work in the proper order, didn?t finish on the deadline, didn?t finish on the revised deadline.  I dismissed him after we moved in to the property.  I?m left with roof work and stucco work that, until I get it done, could ruin the drywall work that he did.
Note: The "A" in the quality rating pertains ONLY to the drywall work that he performed.

Response from Hilley Construction LLC
"The roofer that I lined up before the job backed out when he was to begin. I spent hours meeting other roofers and trying to find a replacement. They could not meet his deadline and that aspect of the job was stopped. He received his 10% off as it was applied during the estimate as an up front savings."

Mike was responsive to calls to schedule, and reschedule when the supplies didn't arrive on time from Lowe's in time for the job. We had special ordered ceiling tiles that took longer than expected to arrive. Mike was great about it and flexible with a reschedule. Mike arrived on time. He measured and cut the tile material to fit an interior tray ceiling and - yikes- the manufacturer-recommended adhesive did not adhere!!! Mike went to a local store and selected an alternate product that worked better, and was able to make-shift tape along the seams until the adhesive could fully dry after the first adhesive didn't adhere and gravity took over!!! Meanwhile, he assembled and put up the light fixture. This job should have only taken a few hours, but thanks to lousy adhesive, Mike showed exemplary patience and got the job done RIGHT! We were so appreciative not only of all his hard work and effort, but his selection of other products, and he cleaned up quite a bit of mess! We definitely are offering him more work!

Mike installed W/D hook ups in both sides of a duplex apartment; work was completed in mid March.
Tenant in Apt. B picked up a used W/D stack unit & found unfortunately the dryer worked but did not heat; we chalked it up to buying a used appliance. Tenant in Apt. A had a refurbished w/d delivered end of June.  It also had a dryer that would not heat up. The dryer was returned but the seller confirmed that it heated up fine at their shop.   It looked like the problem was in the outlets in the duplex.
Due to the nature of my  "day job," I could not be there on site and had to ask Mike to coordinate with the tenant & the appliance guy to diagnose & fix the problem.  It would have been easy for him to blow me off.  These were used dryers, and he already got my money three months before.  Whatever else he had going on, he did come out & stayed until the problem was worked out.
And it did take some time - because the problem was not actually his wiring to the outlets.  Both the appliance refurbisher & the tenants reported that he was incredibly courteous and pleasant. They volunteered this information - I did not ask.  I've heard "horror stories" about general contractors being MIA when issues come up months after a project is completed. Mike stands by his work and is a credit to his profession.  I can't thank him enough for the good work & great customer service.

Mike Hilley and his crew were reliable and extremely professional. They did a fantastic job and finished everything on time.  I told him I needed all of the repairs completed by a certain date because of a party we were hosting at our home.  Everything was completed as promised. I even added jobs as they went along and he was very gracious and fair in his pricing. He also gave me his cell number and I texted him questions and he always responded promptly.  I believe they are very skilled and most importantly they are concerned that the job is done correctly. I highly recommend them!
