Amazing! Hanover was the most professional, most on-time, most thorough remodel I have ever experienced. Everything they did ended with them asking me if I was happy with the work. I had two projects: complete kitchen remodel and remodel of main living areas with new flooring. The work was incredible. It took three months which was about two weeks longer than estimated, but the quality was well worth it. Workers showed up everyday and on time. Project managers were not only accessible, they were present many times for the work. Hanover was receptive to any questions, concerns, or issues that I brought up always taking calls and explaining things thoroughly. They were very detailed oriented. Even upon completion, they said that in the next two weeks I may find small issues that need addressing that I may not have noticed at first. The magnitude of the remodel was extensive. I was to then contact them, and they would send someone out to address anything I needed. I highly recommend Hanover for flooring and remodeling. In fact, I will most certainly have them back in two years when if comes time to remodel my bathroom.

The floor has been coming up all over the house. The floors come up as I am told they should have plywood down and moisture barrier and they failed to do it. I have it coming up in several placing in my living room and 2 bedrooms. They came out a few times to fix it and then said they would not fix it anymore unless I paid for it. Even what they repaired is coming up. I wished I had sued them.

We are writing this as we recently found out that Hanover Floors did not do our floors as directed by the flooring manufacturer when they installed them and that is why they are coming up and buckling! Hanover told us it was moisture in our floors and it was our fault that the floors were buckling throughout the house. When the floors were installed?we had a few areas such as the hallway and the dining room that were already there and the new floors?would be butting up to them. When they started to install the 4 rooms and we?noticed that there was going to be?over 1" difference in the level from room to room (old flooring had plywood under it), we discussed our concern that it was not going to look right with Jim (owner) at Hanover Floors and he stated that they would put a transitional piece of wood that would make the difference look less noticeable at the seams. At that point we asked why there were not using plywood 1st like the older floors and he stated that we didn't ask for it. We asked, is that the way you do this in Florida? (we are both from the north) and he replied yes, unless you want to pay the extra money for the plywood. We only had a set amount budgeted to do the floors and he knew that. We asked if the floors would be OK without the plywood (plus they had already put a lot of the wood down) and he replied yes. In the 1st year the floor in one of the bedrooms started to come up in 2 places and literally buckle. They accused us of having leaks in our home (one was against the outside wall and we checked and it was dry, the other was in the middle of the room and there was nothing leaking on it). They sent Billy over to fix it and he repaired it and stated they were missed a step and did not put?the moisture barrier down under the wood. We told the owner Jim about this and he said if we have any future issues to let him know and they would fix it. Over the 1st 4 years they came periodically to repair the different rooms as the flooring came up. Then about 2 years ago, we contacted the store to do more repairs to the flooring that was continuing to buckle and Paul came over and told me that if we wanted any more repairs done, Jim said we would have to pay for it. We were furious and very upset as the floor is a virtual hazard to walk on in some areas of the house. We certainly did not want to pay Hanover Flooring any more money. We really needed to get it repaired so we just had a Gold Star Hardwood Installer over to give us an estimate on fixing our hardwood floors as they are still lifting up in multiple areas throughout our home.?We were told by the Gold Star Installer that the hardwood?floors installed by Hanover Flooring were not put down correctly and will continue to lift and buckle. We were told that the Oak flooring that was installed must have plywood and a moisture barrier put down anywhere in the State of Florida as directed by the flooring manufacturer due to the vast amount of moisture in the Florida cement slabs. He stated that our floors need to be completely ripped up and done over properly. We feel absolutely taken for $10,000.00 knowing that it all needs to be redone. Do not use this company!

Hanover came out and did all the measuring and sample matching to the paint color for each room. In the bathroom , when they measured they forgot to allow for the windowsill, so they had to send the shutters out to be cut down (2 years later they have still never finished placing the magnets on the shutters). In the bedroom, the color did not match. When we reordered, at an additional cost to us, the color was perfect but the length was too long. Again, they sent out the window dressing to be shortened. This was very upsetting since the owner did all the measuring.

Sierra came out to measure and take pictures.  They gave a quote and we went with them because of the quality of the merchandise and professionalism of service.  Their installers were excellent and treated the job as if they owned the company.  We had delays with other trades and Hanover was very patient with our needing more time prior to ordering.  I was very impressed with Sierra's knowledge of all the products.  The installers were so professional, taking great care to not track in over our flooring.  They even came back to check on something that we did not even notice as a problem, but they thought it needed tweeking to make it perfect.  Sierra made sure we got all the discounts and bonuses available at the time of purchase.  Everything came in on time and installation went without a hitch!  I would strongly recommend them for window treatments.

Sales person asked me questions about my needs. As the carpet would be in children's rooms and we have a number of pets, she made product recommendations that addressed these issues. Installer came on time did an excellent job. I was very happy with the experience.

This was the worse job, by far, that I have ever encountered.  I have hardwood floors in many parts of the house and I never encountered such a disaster.  I will though, compliment the guy who came to refinish my Bruce oak floors.  He did a wonderful job.  The newly installed hardwood looks like crap, next to the old refinished one.
I was considering Hanover for the rest of my home, but after this ordeal and all the deceiving, I will not nor will I recommend them to anyone (I like).

negating my report of the color mismatch by simply sating that "6 Carpet One staff The provider is listed as being on Gardner Rd., but the branch we used in on Sheldon Rd., Tampa.  Our initial impression was extremely positive, though I wish we had read Angie's List reviews first. Debbie, our salesperson was congenial, helpful and very knowledgeable and was the high point of our experience with Hanover Carpet One. While pricing is not low, we did not find the price excessive. Installation of carpet was quite good and in that we have no complaints. The frustration and disappointment relates to the wood flooring molding. While the flooring itself looks good and appears to have been well installed, the T-molding is an entirely different story. Initially we were told that we might not need molding at the transition between the flooring and our tile but ultimately it was determined that the absence of molding would be problematic but we felt comfortable with the added cost of the molding. The issue arose when we discovered that not only did some of the t molding not appear finished nor match other pieces of the t-molding, which was particularly noticeable where one piece was attached to the next, but the molding did not match the flooring. Also, the installer failed to trim the edges of the molding to be flush with our baseboards.
I contacted our salesperson and sent photos and she visited our home to see for herself. She readily agreed that my concerns were a genuine issue and made arrangements to reorder the molding as well as to have the installer return to trim the molding edges. She took additional photos and we learned several weeks later that the new molding was in. The installer returned to ostensibly correct the trim and replace the molding. I went out to the truck to see the molding, which was much better finished than the originals but he advised me to compare the molding to the floor before doing the installation saying that if it was installed and we did not like it, there would be nothing more we could do. We discovered that while our flooring is a cherry finish, the molding is brown, with no cherry coloring. The installer immediately noticed the difference and suggested I skip the install and call an individual at the store, which I did. When I called to discuss the finding, he responded that 6 Carpet One staff had compared the molding with a sample of our flooring and insisted it was an exact match. I told him I was not trying to be difficult but that they were definitely not a match and I would be willing to send him photos which I did. He had asked for the photos but never got back to me.
In the meantime, the installer gave me a wood coloring magic marker to use in an effort to improve and finish the color of the original molding. He left. I then contacted our salesperson again, sent the photos and she said said she would look into it. That was 18 days ago. Nobody has contacted further, the trim was never corrected, and I ended up being advised to color the trim myself. Our initial enthusiasm that we felt when first we visited the store has plummeted drastically.
We have decided to contact the gentleman who installed our daughter's laminate flooring. The t-molding he installed was an exact match, perfectly trimmed and an example of how an install should be done. Perhaps Hanover is of the opinion that my wife and I are just complainers, but I stand ready to show photos to anyone who is uncertain of the validity of my post. We will not be using Hanover Carpet One for the remainder of our flooring and window needs.

i had them install carpet in two rooms and vinyl flooring in one room. the carpet went great, however the installer didnt put a transition piece from my wood floor to the carpet and had to come back out to do so. the vinyl had a bubble under it so they had to come back out another time to reglue it. they corrected all issues that werent perfect the first time. unfortunately it was over a year ago so i dont remember how much anything cost

You can get a decent price from this company if you are careful to measure your house first.  They OVERMEASURE way above the 5% waste and it can cost you a bundle if you aren't savvy.  They gave me measurements that would have cost me over 1500 but I told them my measurements would work.  They argued, but in the end I was spot on.  Just be smart and measure yourself BEFORE they come out.  The reason I am giving them a "D" overall is that they installed wood flooring in our home 11 years ago and we have just found out now that they did it WRONG...they glued directly onto concrete with NO moisture barrier.  We didn't know better back then, but we do now as we are having to deal with the damage.  Without a moisture barrier any moisture from the ground can come up through cracks that happen as homes settle and damage the wood causing it to buckle and also increasing the humidity in your home which can lead to mildew and mold.  We are dealing with all of this now.  So again be smart and if you are installing over concrete insist on a moisture barrier.  I am writing this to SAVE other people the expense and stress of having your wood flooring done incorrectly.

Response from Hanover Floors
"We installed wool carpet and window treatments for [member name removed]. She used a decorator and came to us to purchase the products in the colors the decorator chose. The wool looked great and the window treatments she was not happy with the style the decorator chose. We worked with her and changed out to another product for a minimal cost. I'm not sure how to prevent that in future. The non responsive I've looked into and seems with the re ordering we were slower than should be expected. I've tried to contact her through email, phone calls, and regular mail service. She has not responded and has a small balance."

The work is awesome. From start to finish, everything has been great. The salesmen brought samples to the house for us and worked through any issues that I may have had. They follow up with you immediately and even later to ensure everything has been corrected. They completed the removal of ceramic tile and also replaced the area with new tile. After all of the work was completed, they even sent in a cleaning lady to clean up the dust and mess. She did a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. One of the rooms was still drying when she arrived and they actually sent her back once the grout was dry to ensure we were happy with the cleaning.

carpet installed ok, but baseboards were not professionally finished  (gaps between baseboard and wall, baseboards not all painted and not all replaced as agreed in the estimate.  Once called they did come back and finish items, but required my direction reather than to just come in and correct on their own.    capet looks good, but baseboards look sub-par in a few places

The job went very well and I was very pleased.  I would recommend Hanover Carpet to my neighbors or anybody else, they did a nice job.  I worked with the owner of the store and he helped me make my selection.  He showed me different alternatives and he was really helpful and not pushy.  He was helpful in making my selection and mindful of the cost.  He had a team of installers.  He cautioned us that as there was a lot of carpet and it would take the whole day.  The carpet installers who came were very careful of our home and my husband noticed right away that the quality of the way they seamed off the carpet against the edges of the tile.  They took a lot of care and they did a really nice job. We were really pleased with the quality of the installation and the way they laid the carpet. I would definitely use them again. Their price was competitive for the work they did. It was a positive experience.

The entire process was wonderful.  From working with Jim on the selection and purchase, to the installation.  The guys were clean, neat, friendly, worked well together and quickly.  We were also very pleased with the details where the flooring ended at the sliders, and at other flooring materials.  A year later we still love our new floors.
