Jon and Will are professional and very easy to work with. They respond quickly with estimates and concerns and the work gets done on time. Very happy with every project they’ve completed for me which include two bathrooms, interior painting and a complete kitchen remodel. Highly recommend.

Jon is the most prompt contractor I’ve ever worked with. There was never a delay in communication. He got the estimate to us when he said he would and when we accepted the estimate and sent in the deposit work began right away. His team was friendly and worked clean. It was obvious that they cared about the quality of work and had an excellent eye for details. They completed my carport and utility room repair quickly. I would definitely work with them again.

We hired Greaves Construction to renovate an abandoned, bank-owned home that we purchased. When I met Jon the first time at the house, he was 10 minutes early, and his other estimators were there on time. This is when I knew I found my contractor. Jon is a true professional and was extraordinarily easy to work with. He was patient and answered our questions and also offered guidance when we needed it. Jon always replied to all communications and kept me updated on all progress. He ensured that all work was performed in a timely manner and that all craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. And when an unexpected problem came up, HE TOOK CARE OF IT. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what sets the women apart from the girls and the men apart from the boys. I have to admit, that it was satisfying to hear my neighbors raving about how quickly the work was completed and how beautifully our project turned out. And some of my neighbors are contractors. When a contractor compliments another contractor, that's a ringing endorsement. If you research Greaves Construction, you are going to find overwhelmingly positive reviews, and its the truth! I have every intention of using Greaves Construction for all of my general contracting needs in the future. There is an incredible peace of mind that comes with having a contractor who you can trust. Quote: Greaves gave us a timely and detailed quote listing all items to be done plus per hour costs for any additional work not included in the contract. Greaves' quote was in the same area as other contractors we interviewed. We chose Greaves b/c they answered us promptly, friends had used them and were pleased, their credentials were right on target, they were knowledgable and they were willing to start as soon as the permitting was obtained.
Permitting: Contractor applied for and got permittng in a very reasonable amount of time.
Crew was here on a daily basis in the early morning. We never had to wonder if they were coming. They worked hard and efficiently. The work place was cleaned up at the end of each day.
Misc.: If we had questions, they were answered promptly and to our satisfaction.
We would use them again in a heartbeat!

This was our first time needing a general contractor to handle a household project. And we were pretty anxious about both selecting the right contractor and the execution of the project. The ceiling is about 50 feet long with about 1100 square feet of surface. To us it seemed like a huge deal, but Jon assured us that it would go smoothly. And with the exception of one minor subcontractor scheduling hiccup, it did indeed proceed quite smoothly. His wood recommendation (#1 pine) was perfect. Since I did the whitewashing myself, I ended up handling every board and marked any parts of the board that I didn't want used. The use of high quality pine ensured few blemishes and a beautiful appearance. The subs he used were amazing. Jon, many kudos for knowing and working with high quality subcontractors. Each one, completely unprompted, praised the quality Jon's work and said that they consider him one of the best general contractors in the Tampa area. The demolition was really, really, really messy but by the end of the day, what remained was a completely clean living space and a view of the rafters and roof deck. When we spoke with Jon about insulation options, he described the use of an "expanding" foam compared to regular fiberglass batts. And he helped us work through the cost differences between the two options given other factors associated with roof. We ultimately went with the foam. This has proven to be a superior recommendation. The house is both cooler and quieter. Sweet! The new ceiling went up smoothly (albeit loudly) and it looks spectacular. We are so pleased. We will not hesitate to enlist Jon's services again should the need arise and we have already recommended him to friends. Thank you again, Jon.

The initial demolition went on with minimal fuss, and communication was maintained throughout. We're very happy with the workmanship and our house guests all agree. The project took a couple weeks longer than first planned - but otherwise went very smoothly and we're extremely pleased with the results.

Besides wanting a professional, competent and timely construction company, I had to find one that was skillful in creating today an addition that would be seamless with a home of that period. With trepidation I approached this project. I interviewed several companies and came to the conclusion that Greaves Construction was for me. I felt that I could trust Jon and was pleased to be working with the owner of the company. Having the home you are living in torn apart is enough to make anyone nervous. Jon soon put my fears to rest with their respectful and knowledgeable approach. He created the addition before cutting through to the existing home which made for a smoother transition and less interference with day to day life during construction. Jon kept me continuously informed of the schedule and was always available by his cell phone if I had any question. His construction team was there as scheduled and worked until the job was complete, cleaning up totally at the end of each day. Both Jon & Ronnie Greaves are super people to deal with and Jon is an excellent, careful contractor who cares deeply about his customers and employs excellent subs. Jon has always helped me out over the years from very minor fixes to some major ones (like needing to jack up part of my house that was “sagging”). He’s also been readily available for very minor issues I’ve needed help on over the last 15 years.

It was a struggle and strain on our lives, but not due to anything Greaves Construstion did. We had to empty our master bedroom to get new carpet and paint walls. Before work began we moved our entire bedroom set into our family room and that's where we lived out of for 2 months. Clothes from our walk-in closet and extra furniture filled up our guest bedroom to the ceiling. Reconstruction started smoothly and all of Jonathan Greaves workers and subcontractors were extremely polite and attentive to detail. We were watching from the "sidelines", Jonathan and his workers were very accommodating to any changes we wanted (my wife is very detailed orientated).
Original plans and cost were written in detail and followed in detail. Small "gliches" did occur but were easily overcome and not worth mentioning other than Jonathan handled everything very professionally. In today's world, it is rare to find such a great group of workers. I highly recommend Jonathan Greaves and his Construction Company. We have other projects planned in the future and Jonathan's company will definitely be used again.Response from Greaves Construction Inc

These guys were absolute pros from the get go. When I saw how far they went to form dust barriers for the demo, and to protect the rest of the house, I was impressed. The crews were terrific and cleaned up neatly each day. Jon listens to your ideas and works with you to come to a solution to suit your wants and needs. This was my first experience with a remodeling job, and choosing Greaves Construction was the right decision.
