About us
We have been in business with the same owner since 1972. Our office is small, under 5 employees, so you always speak with the same people. Our installers have been working with us for approximately 10 years, and provide custom made fence installed on the job site. We work in the TriCounty area of Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco. We always offer FREE estimates and give you the proposal on site or within a few days. Angie's List customer can receive a discount reflecting a free Walk gate with 150 ft or more of WOOD fence (Please tell the office when setting up appointment). We also warranty our work.

Nick was terrific and his Jason-and-son subcontractor team, along with a third worker, worked quickly and effectively. The only nitpick I have is that I wish FL Fence was clearer on their install timetable. When they said "two-to-four weeks" I thought that meant the work would be completed in that time frame. That really means they will get you slotted in their very busy schedule within that period. But the work was done on April 18 and considering I accepted the proposal and placed a deposit on March 10, that's an acceptable turnaround, especially given the service and price.

My experience was outstanding! They did a fantastic job and even came back the next morning to check that everything settled well. There was a warranty incase anything needed to be replaced. They got all of the needed permits and hauled away the old fence. A year and a half later, the fence still looks great!

He was so very nice. The owner of the company actually came out and did the work himself. He had the tools and got the job done. He was more than happy to help me and wouldn't charge me a dime for the work!

I do not recommend this company. This company is, by far, the worst I’ve dealt with regarding responsiveness. Our saga began in the Spring 2011 when the fence was installed. We had consistent issues with quality; responsiveness from Nick; the subcontractors displayed a lack of respect for other property; and they had to use our ladder and hammer to perform their daily tasks. Now, one year later, a fence post is leaning. I spoke with Nick about the issue several weeks ago. A few weeks go by: no response. So, I placed another call to him. This time, I left a message. It has been about four weeks now since I left that message and I am STILL waiting on a return call.

"We are aware the customer has had problems with the fence. We have gone to the property several times but could not to do the work as the gates were locked and we were unable contact the customer. We do apologize for any inconveniences she may have incurred. We have, however, finished the necessary repairs. We hope that she is now satisfied with her fence."

I wasn’t impressed with them at all. I am currently dealing with them. They left a hole in the ground and I could move the fence. I do not know if he was the owner or the manager and he really apologized for that but their work was not very good at all. I lifted up some grass and there was a big hole and my dogs could have put their leg in, so I wasn’t impressed with them. I had to call them out a couple of times. I would grade them an ‘F’ because of their shoddy work. They left big clumps of dirt too. They didn’t cleanup after themselves. They first started the work in November and they came back out last week. I would not use them again in the future and I wouldn’t even recommend them to anybody.

Nick, the owner, was very prompt and professional. He furnished all insurance (both liability and worker' comp) as I requested. The work began promptly but took several days to complete. The long side of the fence seems to be settling into the sand. Sean, the foreman, came out in February to adjust a gate and pried the fencing up out of the sand and stuck a brick under it. I have a concern that the fence will settle again, but Sean assured me that I had only to call and they would come out and fix any problem. Overall the fence looks very nice.

I have used this company in the past and have not once been disappointed. They came to the property for the estimate, the estimate was presented in good time, the old fence was taken down and away and the new fence installed promptly. I am extremely pleased with the workmanship, with the pricing, and with the way my property has improved with this fence installation

Be aware that they do no work of there own—they subcontract ALL jobs. So you get little assurance of quality. My experience with them was terrible. Nick was very professional when he came out. He did not, however, mention that the work would be subcontacted. The contractor evidently refused to do the job for the estimate I was provided by Nick, so I was informed it would cost several hundred dollars more. I had already paid a deposit and had removed part of the driveway to accommodate the fence, so had little choice. It took two months for the contractor to begin the job after I paid my deposit. This despite my calling every week or two. Stephanie always assured me she would call back the following week to schedule. She did not call back even once during the two months I waited. The contractor they sent out required constant supervision. He did not align the fence properly. He did not mount the latch properly. He lost the finial from our fence post. Eventually, we got most of the problems fixed, but what should have been a fairly simple job was instead a constant headache. Avoid this company at all costs.

"The work at this member's home was to shorten his gate steel gate, meaning a welder would be necessary. Upon the installers’ review of the job site, he noted that an additional post would be necessary due to the fact that the current gatepost could not be reused because of excessive concrete- something that was not evident at the time the original proposal was given. The new work plus post was an additional $200.00. This member was contacted to be sure that this was okay prior to starting the work. The job required a welder; there was a time delay because our certified welder was unavailable at the time the change was made. The work has been complete as per the proposal, including the post being tamped and the finial being installed. We do provide a warranty to the work, should there be any future problems. We apologize for any inconvenience this member had."

Not well. We loved Nick at first and had in fact interviewed him a few years ago. On his recommendation, we didn't replace the fence until this year, which was fine. This time around we had multiple problems with communications, over a period of approximately 3 months. Didn't return calls, showed up without appointments, changed appointments at the last minute. He gave many excuses, but didn't change anything. We had minor issues, which needed correcting and he didn't follow through on these.

Sales rep was good. The installation was fine, workers were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. People I have dealt with on the phone have been professional. However, when I called for a warranty repair (within warranty time period), I was told the repairs would be done. Now 10 MONTHS later and after SEVERAL calls to them, the repairs are still not done and I am told that, once again, it is scheduled for "next" week. Not sure it will EVER happen. It seems like the company does not follow through with the installation crews to make sure their jobs are done when there is no money being made on that job.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE COMPANY CAN RIGHT OVER AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND. THEY WERE VERY BUSY BUT SQUEEZED ME IN WHEN THEY HAD AN OPENING. THEY WERE NOT THE CHEAPEST BUT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN. THE METAL FENCE AND GATE, AS WELL AS THE WOODEN SECTION, LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND FEELS VERY STURDY.

THE WORK WAS DONE PROMPTLY & SATISFACTORILY. PRICE WAS IN LINE W/OTHER ESTIMATES. ONE PROBLEM WAS THAT THEY DIDN'T CLEAN UP AFTER JOB. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO ASK THAT THEY RETURN, BUT THE DIDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE ME. OTHERWISE, THE ESTIMATE WAS DONE WHEN REQUESTED AND THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS GOOD. I WOULD GIVE THEM AN A EXCEPT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TIDINESS WHICH WOULD BE MORE OF A B FOR INCOMPLETE WORK.
