I purchased material to install a vinyl fence. Upon installation noticed that wrong materials were loaded on my truck. I called to get them swapped out. They said I needed to come in and exchange the materials. I informed them that I lived over an hour away and if they could ship the materials to me (small items) rather than me drive over 2 hrs for approximately $15.00 in material. They said no. Wow. Could not believe that they would not accommodate a customer who just bought over $800 worth of material on a mistake they made. Will not being going back or recommending this company for any work

We are currently waiting for our fence install that was supposed to be today (5/11), but instead they pushed it to Saturday. Here is the story. Everything seemed okay with the estimate. We liked the sales rep and decided to go with Fence Outlet. It took longer than expected to order the permit for Temple Terrace, and when we called to ask about the status we were told by Moe that it was still pending. She also stated that Temple Terrace is known to reject them. Once we got off the phone, we navigated to the Temple Terrace website to discover the permit was approved days prior to our phone call. We called Moe immediately back and informed her that it was approved. A few days go by and we get a phone call letting us know that our fence would be installed on 5/11. 5/11 is here now and around 10am I noticed no one has shown up to install the fence, so I called Fence Outlet. Moe told me they were probably in the back loading the items and she would find out when they would arrive. Roughly 15 minutes later she calls me back and lets me know that the install date will be moved to Saturday. We got no notification of this being moved and just found out when I called. Of course I am upset and asked to speak to a manager. A few minutes later I get a call from the assistant general manager, who told me that their crew was behind on a job and would be installing my fence on Saturday. I asked about Thursday and Friday and he stated that they would not be moving other customers schedules and it was their policy. This is not fair at all. My fence was next in queue to be installed, but now I feel that Fence Outlet said pretty much said the h*** with me. With another company they would have installed ours next, like it should be. I even moved my work schedule around to accommodate Fence Outlet. My wife also called and the assistant general manager told her that its either Saturday or they cancel the project. Very unprofessional.

While the gentlemen who showed up to perform the work arrived on time and were polite, and did a fine job (for the most part) of installing the fence the poor rating is due to them hitting a (VERY) well marked data cable in my yard. I asked that they have a manager reach out to me as it will require several hundred dollars and several hours of work to repair. I also reached out to the estimator I had dealt with. The manager did call, but at the very moment their foreman had questions. I asked if we could speak again in 15 minutes. He agreed. I then called 4 more times throughout the day trying to get ahold of him as well as reached back out to the estimator. It has been 6 days since the install and I have not heard from him. I have continued to reach out for a resolution. Overall the fence is as expected and I will be happy to modify the review if the company reaches out and makes arrangements to correct their damage.

I did not use their installation services. However, the folks at Fence Outlet Tampa are great! Customer service was excellent from ordering to delivery to returns. Very pleasant & courteous staff willing to work with your needs. I highly recommend checking them out.

Salesman came out in June 2016 to view project, we agreed on a price and signed for the job. He told 4-6 weeks to complete the job. No response to my inquiries about installation for months. 3 months later I get an email from him asking me to leave a positive review on Google. I replied they had not completed the job nor communicated with me as such not a great time to ask for a review. . Salesman said he would call back that day with an update... crickets... weeks...nothing... I had enough and filed a complaint with the BBB and finally heard back from this company to schedule the job. The fence was installed but the installers broke the sprinkler main and then scratched the fence posts during installation. The company told me they were not responsible for the sprinkler pipe (my water bill was $500 that month) what kind of company acts like this? they eventually replaced the scratched posts. 27 years in Florida and worst experience I ever had with a service oriented company. Read their reviews thoroughly, this incident is not isolated and they can't be bothered to respond to the review complaints. I would not recommend them if their service was free... absolutely terrible!!!!

Everything went great from estimate to installation. Very solid fence and gate.

Did not use Fence Outlet. A company that advertized on there truck “Free Estimates” is false advertizement. And then charges $50.00 during hurrican Irma for an esitmate that is price gouging during a state emergency. Their “Estimate was $5700.00 after I paid the $50.00 for the to come out. A company website that boast free estimate means nothing after a hurricane.

Short version – I do NOT recommend this company, the service is very bad, took them 4 months to complete the job. The final fence is good though. -Estimator came 3/25/17, told us installation would be 3 weeks out. -paperwork to us, signed and deposit made on 4/3/17. -Remove need for 1 wall of fence, our installation scheduling took so long, our neighbor had his fence done. Around 4/15/17. -change in proposal for change 5/19/17 - note the long time delay, Still not scheduled. -install date set for 5/30/17, note this is 2 months after estimate and promise of a 3 week wait But delayed because the company "forgot" to get the county approval. Promised a $150 rebate to pay for the boarding of our dog since we had an appointment on the reschedule date. -installation started 6/2/17, stopped that afternoon -estimator had to come out and address question of where posts should be, fence finished 6/9/17. -One gate was not the correct type, our dog got out the 2nd day. -called 6/14/17 to report the problem, was told a new gate would be ordered. -bill sent to us, new gate had not been installed yet and $150 was not taken from the total. -called many times, new gate installed 8/2/17, 2 months after installation 1st started and 4 months after estimate.

First day, communication troubles, second day all went perfectly. Finished product of good quality and installation.

Their installers were fantastic. When you review the paper work, the proposal, you need to make sure you ask all the questions because I had two different quotes on the same proposal. When I approved it, I signed at the bottom and I thought we had a discussion, which he didn't recall, that I wanted a different type of fence. The solid PVC fencing went up instead. At that point, they had such a hard time installing it because of underground rocks or other situations. I don't know, I wasn't there, I let my husband do that one, which was a big mistake. I was going to have them pull it out and redo the panels. It just would have been a disaster. Does it look nice? Yes, it does. It just was not the design I was looking for, the design I thought I was getting.

They got the fence done in time frame they promised, however they tore the yard up and didn't level out under the fence leaving some holes. We called a couple of times regarding the workmanship and the salesman now states its not his problem to call the installation team, its their issue. We called the installation team to no avail, they do not return any calls. Wish we would have used other company we got quote from.

Well first they showed unannounced while I was at work and did not have the HOA permission yet. HOA manager called and I had to ask them to cease work immediately and remove what was done until I got the HOA approval. Once installed, we noticed some bars had small bends and the main supports were slightly off center to allow fitting of the length of each piece. I was not informed of this until it was done and had no option once it was cemented in solid. Not only once did they break the irrigation line, a second time the broke a main and we had to work a new water line around the main post given the post was already cemented in. I asked why the ground wasn't dug slightly to ensure there was no line there, but got no good response. Basically, the job was rushed, very rushed. I'd say it was about them doing jobs fast, not slower to ensure quality. Some screws were missing on the fence and rather than call, I just went to True Value to do it myself to save the aggravation. To their credit, they did offer us a few extra ball tops for the corners free of charge. And I'm adding this review now because all the regular flat caps have lost their paint and are all bare, while I noticed many were put on without a hex screw to secure them - again rush job and poor workmanship.

I had a local vendor well known in the "USA" and Bradenton area who gave an estimate about 100$ more but I went cheap and it cost me. Lesson learned. Ultimately, they finished the job okay, but I would not be confident in ever recommending their product installation. If do it yourself, perhaps it would be different.

I STARTED THIS REVIEW BACK IN SEPT 2014. Sorry for the
completion delay. I started looking for a fence company on Angie's List and
with the Better Business Bureau. Although the reviews were mixed I thought I
would give them a chance to make a presentation. The salesman was very patient
with me as I had a great number of questions. He made several trips to my home
during my three + months decision-making process. He brought samples and I was
pleased with their product. The product seemed good (I have only had it
installed for about four weeks so it is too early to say). I was also
re-sodding the entire backyard and was very specific on the timeline I needed
to have the job completed because I wanted the fence in before my sod
installation. Most important to me that I stated over and over again and had
written in the contract was that the fence be as close to the ground as
possible because I have 2 small dogs less than 10 pounds.  I was also
concerned with some of the fencing companies that use contract employees, which
is something I specifically did not want to deal with. They assured me that
their employees are actual employees of the Company. Their price was
competitive, they provided proof of insurance and Worker's Comp. (which I
confirmed) as that also was important to me. My son was paying for the fence
replacement so I accepted their bid which was a few hundred dollars lower. I
WISH I HAD SELECTED THE OTHER COMPANY I PREFERRED (FF)! The project was a
nightmare from beginning to end. They did not have Florida Sunshine Locate come
out to mark the property prior to the expected date of commencement. I asked
and they said there was a delay in that process but they wanted to continue. I
told them that they absolutely were not to do anything on my property, not set
foot on my property until this step was done. The Sales Staff did a good job of
selling the package but installation dropped the ball. The worker's installing
the fence spoke NO English. This would not have been a problem if there was a
supervisor/foreman overseeing the project but there was none. They took out the
existing lumber fence but made no attempt to rake level or smooth out the
ground at the fence line before putting down the new one. THE GAPS BELOW THE
BOTTOM RAIL WERE A BIG PROBLEM FOR ME. Trying to speak with the workers was a
waste of time. I spent so much time on the phone trying to contact someone in
charge of installation. The only person I was able to contact was the Sales
Rep. The ground under the post was not level, they wanted to leave big chunks
of concrete in my backyard from where I had asked them to dig out and fill the
old post holes, they destroyed whatever grass remained in the back leaving
mounds of brown dirt everywhere from the post holes. The gate was not level on
the bottom and one side 3 inches higher than the other.  I called the other Company I had considered
(FF), to see if they could come out and take a look and see what they thought
of the work before I paid Fence Outlet. They could not come because they were
busy but gave me the name of a Company specializing in fence repairs. The owner
came out right away. He told me everything that needed to be corrected by Fence
Outlet. Of course this cost me money. He looked at the gate and told me part of
the problem with the gate was that it had been INSTALLED UPSIDE DOWN! I called
Fence Outlet and finally spoke with the Regional Manager who assured me that
there was no way the gate was upside down. After much prodding he came out and
sure enough? The Gate WAS upside down. I expressed all of my concerns about the
project and he promised to have the team come back to make the corrections. I
told him I would be withholding final payment until then. They sent back the
same team. Still no foreman/supervisor I told the Salesman I would not be
paying until I see one. One called to ask if the work had been completed to my
satisfaction. I told him I am not a fence installer, have no idea what I am
looking for and when some supervisor/foreman came to check the job, I would be
glad to pay. He came out a few days later. I had to push back my sod
installation and I could not even let my dogs in the backyard as it was a dirt
mess. Unless you want to supervise the project, know about fence installation and
are planning to re-sod the entire area when they are finished, beware. Lesson
learned? trying to save a few hundred dollars, ended up costing more.

Originally we were not satisfied. We talked with Matt Eckhoff he is the Director of Sales and he brought his crew from Tampa. Originally we had the crew from Northport and they did a terrible job. The dogs were getting out. Matt stuck to his word and made sure that everything met our satisfaction. The Tampa crew did an excellent job. It was Bruce's crew that completed the job for us. They actually went above and beyond under the direction of Matt.
