friend who was given 3 days to vacate a 2 story home and garage of all their
possessions.
Instead of trying to make arrangements, they decided to waste a
day trying to find a cheaper way using day laborers, renting a truck and/ or
getting an emergency suspension to stop the eviction. Neither was successful.
Once I decided to loan them the money so they would not lose everything, and
take in the family of 4, I started making some calls. Additionally this was
over the weekend, so good luck with that. I received two calls back. I
explained the situation and deadline. One was not able to put a team together
on such short notice and their price would be higher. The other said they
possibly could but the price they quoted charged for every box, blanket and
packing material. The price they wanted was significantly higher.
My deadline is now 10 am the following day. THEN OUR GUARDIAN ANGEL NICK
STEPPED IN! [(813) 239-3500]. I explained the situation and he put
together a 6 man team to be there in the morning to hopefully get there early
and get the Sheriff and the Owner to give them a little more time if they see
he is packing and moving everything. He phoned me late into the evening to let
me know that they would be there first thing in the morning. The Owner said no to the extension
but the Sheriff granted a few extra hours.
This is what I got for the money: HE INCLUDED EVERYTHING! He included all of
the packing materials, boxes, blankets, pads, provided the workers, packed
everything up and while one team was packing the other team was moving and
unloading the 2nd truck at the storage facility. This was a full day's work for
the team. I have lived here for over 20 years and never had to move and when we
came here my husband's company paid for our relocation. I have heard of horror
stories with Moving Companies so I definitely was afraid.
There is no way any other Company could have completed this task. He showed such compassion, empathy and understanding. The Brieger Family and Nick were truly amazing. If there is a reward for such Christian Values, honesty and behavior, they definitely are worthy.
