BUYER BEWARE!!!! This is the WORST company I’ve ever dealt with. The techs broke a precious glass picture that was sentimental and was NOT told about whatsoever. I noticed it after they had left. Which is beyond unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I was NEVER told that a patterned carpet would take 10-12hrs to install for an 800sq ft area! Then I was blamed for choosing that pattern carpet. Otherwise I’d never had chosen it if I was told it would take that long. My closet was NOT completed because it had already been 12 hours of waiting time. My poor dog was outside the entire time. My kids didn’t go to bed until 10pm last night. All of this could have been avoided if the salesman had been upfront about the carpet and didn’t LIE to the tech saying it was the correct padding when he knew it was definitely not. I would like significant compensation because this is all extremely unprofessional and they were not sympathetic whatsoever. I will have to report them to the BBB and among various platforms. BEWARE!

Stay away from E. T. They do not stand behind their product. Had laminate flooring installed a few years ago. Now being told the quality of workmanship and product is only covered by a one year limited warranty. Also will not address the issues as our product is discontinued. "Go get a handyman to look at the issues."

I had laminate flooring installed by Empire Today less than 2 years ago. Around 1 years later, I noticed issues like squeaking, buckling, and separation, primarily in the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and hallway. I contacted Empire and they wanted to send one of their inspectors for $200 whom will claim the problems is due to something I did, denying my warranty claim, which they said was only valid for 1 year. I've carefully checked for moisture issues, but found none. I believe the product itself is failing. I invested over $3,000 on these floors, I urge Empire Today to uphold their commitment to customer satisfaction and replace the damaged flooring at their expense and have not gotten a response. I was even extra nice to installers and got them pizza and drinks in the hopes they did a good job.. wow was I wrong

I wish I had read the reviews on here before purchasing the flooring I got. I was promised water proof flooring and not water resistant which was told it could handle a spill and we could mop and when the kids get out of the shower it wouldn’t damage anything. My flooring looks so bad throughout my house I am very upset we paid 10k empire sent out the lead installer to do the inspection .which was a joke he took pictures and claimed it was our fault that the flooring was bucking. To top it off someone from the office said we paid extra for a warranty but they denied the claim to get the floor redone I would like my money back and do business elsewhere never again will I be doing business with this company.

It did not go well. The installers cancelled my order because they said the flooring was too wet. The floor is not warped or wet in my opinion and it just appears that they did not want to do the work. They did not follow up with me and it took 5 calls to get someone to tell me that my order was cancelled and I was getting my money back. I had to move on to find someone else. Terrible way to do business.

I spent nearly $4000 to install laminate flooring in my living room dining room area in April of 2021. I was initially very happy with the way the flooring looked but after several months I noticed the floor appeared to be buckling and the seams were not smooth. It was still acceptable but I was a little concerned.. In May of 2022 I noticed that some of the boards were chipping and cracking. I called Empire today's headquarters and opened a Warranty inquiry. My inquiry was referred to the local Tampa office and I was promised a call back within 3 days. After one week and no call back I called again. I was told that Tampa office tried to call me and left a voicemail. That never happened. They have my cell phone number and there was no missed calls or voicemail from Empire. Not only that but I was told my case was closed. I advised them I never received a call and was promised they would call the next day. Finally today June 7th 2022 I received a call from Danielle in the Tampa office. She was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. Our call lasted all of one minute Before she hung up on me. I never raised my voice, never insulted her, never used profanity. She just didn't like what I had to say. Empire today does not stand by their product or workmanship. I would never ever recommend doing business with them.

salesman very professional and knowledgeable of material, very easy to work with, went out of his way to bring multiple samples and not push or rush. called and stopped by after job completed to ensure that things went as promised. was informed of request to sign blank form and no leveling added to concrete floor Installation not installed in a workman like fashion, was asked to sign a completion form that was completely blank. Bathroom plank floor was installed without a leveling solution over concrete as planks creak as you walk on them. this may cause problems in future. the appearance of work very good. and bath and carpet look great. all workers were polite and professional.

The sales appointment went well bringing product for my elder Mom to choose replacement for her house in Port Charlotte FL. That process went well except for Salesman put down an incorrect trim for an area for pine/natural wood. We wanted to make sure the project could be done with the products chosen and within a few days as I was onsite with my parents at the time and I needed to make other lodging arrangements for them that were ADA compliant until flooring was done. The first work crew showed up of two people and without all the product, which put the project behind. On the main living area, we noticed they brought the wrong trim, not the natural wood. We tried at the time they tried to lay it down to work with the Salesman and the contractors on site to contact their main office to fix that issue, which to the date of this review has not been resolved. Trying to work with their main office to call me did not go well from day one once we realized one of our first of many project issues, either by phone carrier or other issues. There was no opportunity for me to contact the contractors main office (Tampa) in real time otherwise, ie text or email. On the second Empire contractors showed up with more than two but not all the product. We found the master bath had uneven tile and the floating click lock was popping, which put another delay in completing the project. This was day two and my elderly parents needed to come home. The main contractor called the main office and let him know the problem, we didn't have all the product for the project and the click and lock for the master bathroom needed to be done on the next visit out. The main contractor on site also let us know the trim in the master bath would look best in white, not same as floor product, and they'd put that in on next visit. I was under the distinct impression the main contractor would be be back to finalize this project. When Empire returned within a few days, I was already back home, four hours difference in time zone. All of the project was completed within a few days in one visit, except for the main contractor didn't come back to finalize the job. It was another contractor on his team who my Mom didn't understand very well who put the white trim where it was suppose to be natural trim, three different trims in the master bathroom where the main contractor stated it would be white, and the master bathroom click and lock is popping loose. The trim in the master bath also doesn't meet properly which provides an unprofessional or quality look to service and products that I thought would be provided. I called and waited over two weeks, jumping through main customer numbers and receiving reference ticket numbers, seeking help with the trim and loose floor. It's not just an easy fix for my Mom from her end. She cannot paint or stain the white trim to match a natural wood nor should she live with an unsafe and unprofessional quality flooring job in her forever home. The use of three trims in and loose flooring in the master bath is really disappointing. To the date of this review, Empire Today has yet to reach out and set a time to fix these issues. This was a $$$$$ gift to my parents. Empire Today was great at sales, good in product, their contractors respectful and polite, but Empire not great at follow up!

The initial sales evaluation went well. Rooms were measured and replacement carpet selected. Price negotiated and regarded fair, adjusted for prior military vet. Informed at that time COD required before installation activity. Day one of delivery found wrong carpet was on truck, didn't match delivery and order paper work, returned to shop no money required. Day two of delivery correct carpet on truck but incorrect carpet cost numbers on delivery paperwork. Corrected and installation begun. Old carpeting and padding removed and new padding installed throughout house. New carpeting installed on half of house, good job no seams observed. For second half of house found carpet rolls were correct color but not perfect match, any seaming would show. Therefore, returned to shop for single carpet roll that would cover second half of house but would still need seaming from the one carpet roll. Day three of delivery (two days later) carpet installed on second half of house, went well with no seams showing. Must say for all the hassle everything was done to make sure the carpet selected was correct, that installation was proper and professional. They were doing right by the customer. But understand why they wanted the money before ever unloading the truck, some customers may not want the hassle.

Had a representative come out and developed a repoire but not quite ready to commit because I needed to get some information from the bathroom remodeling people. He didn't seem to like that he had to come back if I wanted to do it. left no info or how to contact him again. Called scheduling the next day and asked to schedule with him again when I knew what I wanted to do. What a mess...they couldn't get me back to the same person. Said would note that I wanted him and schedule for today but someone new shows up. I just said goodbye to Empire Today and hope I never see them again. BEWARE - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE OR SUPPORT BEFORE THE SALE - SO CAN IMAGINE HOW BAD THEY ARE DURING OR AFTER THE SALE...

They showed up on schedule with a crew of several people and worked continuously till they were done. Explained what they were doing and why. Successfully worked around my internet/cable control center so that I did not lose service while they worked. A good, quality job done expeditiously.

Great. TV commercial is a bit deceiving. But the gentleman was fully aware of the capability of his stock, and willing to find the correct product for our needs. He took his time and answered all of our questions- fully. we got tile for the house. WE chose to go with Home Depot. They ran an awesome sale. Where you purchased flooring. All under-layment was free. 50% off installation.

We never got past the free estimate stage. Talk about 50% off and on installation as well. In my opinion their advertising is unethical and deceptive. Was given a price for a lesser quality flooring for more than 2 1/2 time other quotes. What a joke, and their flooring was only 3.2mm compared to 7.5 mm and 100% waterproof much better product, for way less installed. Empire quoted their 50% off price of $8,300 which would have been $16,600 without the 50% off deal. what a joke. All I can say is buyer beware and shop around.

This is the 5th floor I have had done by Empire and this last one has nearly put me out of business. The installation that should have been done weeks ago has yet to be done. Had an installer show up on Tuesday to remove old floor with no appointment made. Had hi make an 8:30 appointment today and I don't believe he ever showed but he wanted me to meet him at 10, which was impossible for me. The installer was rude, calls numerous times without leaving messages, texts numerous times and in general thought I was there to service him and not the other way around. Apart from the sales people, the company just seems like big machine that doesn't work if it doesn't go it's way. It's a broken, arcane system and I think people should know about it. I am a property manager and so have dealt with them more than most so I guess I will get a bad one, but this one was a problem from the start. So a word to the wise: if you can get the same product for a little more elsewhere, you may be better off.

The woman who came out to sell us the carpet over measured, so I’m not sure I’d give her the best. I think we overpaid a little because we had so much left over. Unless she just didn’t know how to measure. We paid way more than we should have. I would use them again because between the two, the service has been good.

We saw advertisements for 50% off. Sales rep doubled numbers in order to cut price in half. Felt like a scam. Their bid (with discount) was higher than the other three bids we obtained.

It was good. For the floor we had 5 installers here and the carpet there was 2. It was completed in the same day. They left everything clean. Communication was really good, because they called when they was on their way, if there was any issues, we knew who to call to have them come back out and fix it if anything went wrong. The quality of the workmanship was really good.
