EARL'S GARDEN SHOP NURSERY

Everything turned out really well. They had what they said they had. I think one of their addresses was wrong online. I was expecting to go somewhere else and fortunately, I had talked with them and they told me here they were located and they had my stuff. Otherwise, the service was very good and quick. It was a good transaction. They loaded up my vehicle for me so I didn't have my hands dirty or anything. I think I went back twice.

They are wonderful because the father owns it, he's very much elderly and his two sons run it but he's there everyday. He can identify anything you bring him, he can tell you what it is and whether it's a weed and how to kill it or if it's a plant, how to take care of it. The guy is amazing. They're a nursery and it's not huge but their knowledge is amazing.

I've been going to Earl's since I moved to Tampa years ago. The patriarch Earl was an expert in lawns and was always able to provide a remedy to all my sod issues. Earl did an excellent job in passing on that expertise to his son Walt, who continues to provide great advice and diagnoses of all sorts of lawn problems.

I recently visited Walt with some problems I've been having and he quickly diagnosed the issues as both Sod Web Worm and fungus. His recommendation had my lawn looking better in just weeks. Best of all, his concern was that I fixed the issue, not in an opportunity to sell me his products.

I also purchased some plants which look great in my backyard. We need to support these types of businesses, who provide excellent customer support, personalized service, and ongoing advice for the life of your garden. You may pay a bit more for some things, but you get the expertise free, which is worth far more. The big box retailers can never match that service.

I have used them for firewood for about five years now. They have never missed an appointment and always show up on time. They are decent people and very dependable.

The owner was a horticulturist and knew his stuff. He was eighty years old and he had family working there. He had been in business for years in the area. He was the nicest guy and the nursery was like an old fashioned greenhouse. He was all sold out on the fertilizer when I called, but he took my name and address and called me a month and a half later to tell me that he had got me the fertilizer. The fertilizer was a one-in-all and did not require any additional supplements. It was reasonably priced. He told me how to plant and what to do when I went over. They didn't take credit cards, but he said I could take the stuff home and pay him later.

I HAVE ALWAYS GONE TO EARL'S WHEN I HAVE SOME PROBLEM WITH MY GARDENS AND LAWN. THE LAST TIME WAS TO CURE A BAD WEED INFESTATION OF MY ST AUGUSTINE GRASS. EARL SUGGESTED 'IMAGE' WHICH I PURCHASED AND USED WITH GREAT RESULTS.
