I had dockside roofing install my roof on my house two years ago. A few months ago I had an insurance inspection that revealed the roof system was failing. After getting the run around from them for two months I finally got a call back where they told me it would cost me several thousand dollars to fix their mistake. Bill told me “ that’s how roofing works”. A 15yr system fails in 1.5 years and they did nothing other then try to line their own pockets. Dishonest people. Steer clear of them.

When we contacted the Company, they were extremely responsive but because of their schedule was only able to commit to an appointment 17 days out. But they asked if we could be flexible if they had a cancellation or other jobs took less time. Since I work close to where I live, I told them yes but candidly proceeded to see if I could locate someone else who might be able to come out sooner. I was pleasantly surprised 4 hours later to have them call me and tell me that they would be able to come out that afternoon (actually 30 minutes from the call). We were very fortunate and I gladly left the office and met them. When I got there, we walked through the situation and when I showed them the attic they quickly pinpointed the exact place where the rain was coming in, and immediately went up to our roof and did a patch. They were very confident that the roofing cement would hold until they could come out and finish the job (the rain by this time was torrential). A week or so later, with no further leaking, they did come out and finish the project. They explained fully what happened and why that one area (near an exhaust vent) failed. I asked them if they felt that we could get the drywall repaired and they affirmatively said yes. Five weeks later, and many rainstorms, we've had no issues. I was confident enough to engage a painting/drywall company to replace the damage. We asked the person doing the work to walk the rest of our very expansive roof to see if he saw any other problems and he came back and said the rest of the roof was in very good shape and we should get many more years out of it. Hopefully that is the case. The overall charge for the first and second visit was approx $400, I was impressed with the people who did the work, and since they were recommended by another company that I respect, have recommended Dockside to several other people in our neighborhood who have had similar issues with recent summer rains.

I thought that the area was fixed, until the roof collapsed!! There was a leak that went un-noticed until it collapsed!! Would not use them again!

Great job. Fixed leak in ta timely manner, used better product then roof had, left no mess! I wil use then again.

Dockside Roofing is a top-notch company! From their sales rep to their on the job supervisors and workers, everyone was very professional, courteous, and prompt. The project was large and involved. The employees who were working under extreme heat conditions and rainy weather went above and beyond to ensure that the house was protected and water tight during the 6 week project. If water found its way in, Dockside was quick to respond, assess, and repair as necessary. The workers were neat and arrived promptly every day at 7 am. My husband and I could not be more pleased with our decision to use Dockside Roofing to replace our roof. We would not hesitate to recommend them highly. Special thanks to the sales rep, Dan, who stood by the entire project offering assistance, the on-the-job supervisors, JR and Roger, who worked tirelessly to make sure everything was right and to our satisfaction, and the owner, Bob, who personally came to meet us at the conclusion of the job to ensure we were happy. A job well done and a beautiful new roof!

Very polite,punctual customer service.Workmanship is incomplete and shoddy--although this could be due to financial constraints placed by this HOA where I reside...nonetheless-terrible work-no attention to detail and what seems to be general lack of communication.I wish to addend this in response to the service provider's input--given the fact that I went to the lengths that I did with regards to attempting repairs at my townhome--it is still my opinion that I was misled;if not lied to regarding the extent of repair needed.Roof replacement was not mentioned until several months after the initial estimate and several repairs later......This entire incident does not negate the fact that an area that had been originally tarped over remained unrepaired originally due to a "miscommunication".My opinion and experience remain unchanged.It's unfortunate that the property management of Melrose-Sovereign and the Association where I reside have permitted disrepair to be acceptable for this length of time.

They were very responsive with the emergency situation and they did a great job. They were reasonably priced and they were good about cleaning up afterwards.

They did not fix the problem the first time so they came back and did it again. It was during the rainy season, of course, and they were so busy that they couldn’t get out to do the repair for about two weeks. The first repair did not fix the roof and they were not able to come back out for two weeks. My husband complained so the owner of the company came out and did the repair that day. The owner was apologetic and accommodating after that. They have a great reputation but it took two trips for the problem to be fixed and they were responsive only after my husband yelled. They acted very professionally, they were apologetic, and they wanted to please the customer.
