I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication from Del-Air Heating after the initial installation of our system. While the install itself went smoothly, the follow-up has been a nightmare. I’ve been trying to schedule a simple inspection for over a month now. Despite repeated calls, emails, and messages, I haven’t received a single response. Every time I ask to speak with a manager, I’m either placed on hold indefinitely or told they’re in a meeting and will call me back—which never happens. It’s incredibly frustrating to be ignored, especially when all I’m asking for is a routine follow-up. A company’s job doesn’t end at installation—ongoing service and communication are just as important. Sadly, this company has completely failed on both fronts. If you’re considering Del-Air Heating, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Their customer service is unreliable, and you’ll be left on your own the moment the job is done.

Last week we had no heat or air and called in Del Air. Their employee arrived after 6 PM on a Friday, which was the time they promised. She was incredibly efficient and extremely professional and pleasant. I was very impressed with Sakeena and would highly recommend her, in fact, we requested her to complete our future maintenance.

They charged me more than $700 for "repairs" that did nothing to resolve the issue. In fact: they lowered the coolant pressure and refused to re-raise it which actually made the problem worse. Then they declared that 80-degrees was the most I could expect (which is odd since they charged me hundreds of dollars to fix an AC that was doing that already). Turns out the problem was the plenum and ducting. Another AC company (Cornerstone) correctly identified and fixed it. Meanwhile: Del-Air has refused to return the money they took from me for unneeded repairs that should never have been done. I'm considering whether the small-claims filing is worthwile.

This is the company that installed my Carrier HVAC in my new home. They tried to sell me a maintenance contract but Imfond someone else.

Fast forward 15 months to now. I had an issue with a condensation drain pipe that got clogged and soaked my carpet. Had some restoration companies come and one had a particular question on how to access a certain area. I called Del Air to try and get an answer but they insisted on sending someone out.

They did not tell me there would be a $79 charge for the until the technician was done and after I got a lecture as to why they should be doing my maintenance.

Had they informed me of the $79 charge before I made the appointment, I would have politely refused. Now, they have an angry customer for life.

It's mixed. With the exception of my last experience, I never felt like I have been taken advantage of or I was overcharged. The last time I had an issue, it was going to be a pretty expensive bill. I told myself to get a second opinion. I got two more opinions after Del came in. I didn't feel good about them after two other reputable companies who looked at the same work. In the end, I was able to do it with the same quality but significantly less expensive. I felt as if they wanted to sell me stuff. It was for the air conditioning unit repair. It was complex. I didn't feel I was treated right. I do not intend to use them again based on that experience. I thought it was very high. I knew it was going to cost a lot of money. I don't mind spending the money. I didn't have a good feel for it. Once I checked it out, my suspicion turned out to be accurate. I was never dissatisfied with their work. I never had an issue. I never had to call them back. Once they did it, they did it well and they did it correctly. They were very responsive. They were there when they said.

We use them about a year ago and we have a schedule of their service again next week. We have been using them for 5 years. They made sure that everything was all right with their service. It was just a routine check.  It was fine.  The price was reasonable.  There were no problems.  They had installed the system for me, so I have used them before.  I would probably use them again.

A few years ago, I purchased a model home. I got a 5 year extended warranty on my HVAC. The downstairs unit needed repair, and the service guy determined that I had a leaking coil.  I was charged $178 for the day for them to diagnose and add coolant. While scheduling the appointment, there was no time-frame window provided; they let me know what day they would be there & called half an hour before arriving. Even though the part was covered under warranty, they wanted to charge me $618 to replace it for LABOR ALONE! I said to just give me the part since it was under warranty but they wouldn?t do that. 



A few hours later, I received a phone call from Del-Air and we argued about the cost of repair.  She told me, "It is what it is.  It's the standard repair cost."   When I asked her how long it would take to complete this repair, she told me 150 minutes, which equates to $247.20 an hour for labor alone!  I asked her if her all her techs were getting this as an hourly wage.  She refused to answer.  I requested to speak to a manager, who then supposedly went home for the day.  I was then offered their "corporate rate", which would give me a 15% discount.  This brought it down to $525, which is still approx. $210/hr for labor.  It's obvious, that despite the warranty, they are charging an outrageous rate of labor in an attempt to get the consumer to pay for the cost of the item also.  I contacted several other companies and the going rate of labor is between $65-85/hr.   In those calls, I found a company that would do the entire job, also PAYING for the part for a total of $250.  Del-Air obviously is not honoring their warranties and overcharging for labor.  They need to be exposed.
